Like most of us, I am constantly looking for the best ways to enhance immersion in MSFS and thought I would share some of my tips to hopefully give you some ideas for your own rig. I strongly believe the next major accessory for immersive Flight simming is a home-summer budget-friendly 3 or 6 axis moving seat that simulates pitch and rolls as you fly in the sim. The feeling of experiencing pitch and roll + butt kicker + VR Headset + Headphones + good quality HOTAS would be the perfect simming setup. The only elements missing would be the uncomfy chairs and the stale coffee from the flight deck lol. Have you tried experimenting with any moving seat arrangement? I know the guys who play combat sims have some good setups, but there isn’t any mature enough product for the civilian sim space except for DIY projects.

G-sim kneeboard including the map mod to see the airspaces and online vatsim controllers on a moving map in flight as well as an option to add and read documents (like flight plans or charts) and a list of formulas that come in handy during flying, all in one in game screen. Super handy in VR. And the pushback toolbar is also very nice.

+1 for FSRealistic. I was surprised how much that adds to my flights. Also I rely a lot on PMS50's GTN750 GPS unit. It integrates so well with the game it has replaced much of what I used to do with Sky4Sim Pad. And lastly I use VoiceAttack. Mostly I use it to interact with the ATC. It adds some realism to talk to ATC rather than using its window. Anyway, good luck and happy flying! I like your setup too ;)

I fly in vr almost all the time I used the pdf viewer to put a color correction screen up in flight sim and then used openxr to properly tune the contrast and brightness i need a blue filter for the rest of the color setup but it already looks much better than what I had done just eye balling it. I also almost only fly gliders I use xcsoar in a floating window with oculus so that I can have a more accurate map of lift and sink. I also use an autohotkey script to send the arrow keys directly to xcsoar so my hat switch on my joystick is set to the arrow keys and then I can control xcsoar with the stick just like a real glider don't need headlook while in vr anyways lol

What I got form that was you have 3 big screens, 3 VR headsets, a fifty squillion pound rig, vast sums of expendable cash and a gaming chair that I'd only get out on Christmas day for dinner. But, nice vid. The best I can do is get my very mid-range set-up up and running without blowing up, try not to spill my beer over it and keep the hard-drive porn to a bare minimum.

PilotEdge and Navigraph plug-in! Also Spad.Next with the Bravo throttle quadrant and a Logitech radio panel to map nearly every control in the cockpit to a physical button/knob/lever 😄

I absolutely LOVE beta 10! Made my sim experience on the G2 that much more smooth and and less stuttery. I really hope the final release of update 10 will be that much better! DX12? Time will tell.

I would love to go VR but fear that I could not use my control panels because I simply do not see them. I mean I have a HOTAS and a Trackball mouse, but my control panels … How do you even quickly find the right button on that little panel? Do you count them?

I’ve tried both. VR sucks for IFR flying, if you’re like me and have a bunch of keys bound to your peripherals, then flying in VR is a pain.

I love my Virpil Control Panels. They’re a bit expensive but worth every penny.. Very sturdy, aluminum, built to last. For the same reason I chose the VKB MCE Ultimate flight stick; made of aluminum and with a long extension. For my rudder pedal; MFG Crosswind. I would love to go VR … but fear not seeing my control panels would really mess things up. How do you find the right button on that wee panel in the blind?

If you really want to take your immersive experience one notch up, I really recommend you try a Woojer Vest or a BHaptics Vest, if you haven’t. I combine a Woojer with two Buttkickers and it is really inmersive and awesome. And if you listen to music when flying, oh! boy! You’re really in for a treat. Give it a try.

Just curious why you would bother with the Quest 2? Nothing wrong with that headset for what it is good at (namely being cordless!) but the graphics don't seem even close to good enough for flight sims or racing?!

It's a really great headset if your not doing flightsim exclusively, I'd love a G2 (just for MSFS), but with a small available playspace for non-sim games, plus a more expensive headset the Quest 2 makes things so accessible
