I just tested the new NVIDIA driver version 516.94 for MSFS in VR using the HP Reverb G2 and 3080 GPU!

For me, the update was a frame rate dropper! Running i9 9900 3090ti 64 RAM Varjo Aero. Fenix A320 is normally 35-40 FPS but after update 28-34.

It seems to be much much better. Fired mine up and it ran super well after not playing msfs for a Week! Looking forward to the full dedicated driver ;)

DLSS was my hope, but I can't read anything on the panels... even in the best quality. Im running on a 9700k with 3070. Aceptable performance, but I wish I could get better FPS. Oculus rift S.

Always a good video, thank you. If you could tell me if when I update the driver each time with a clean install, does it overwrite my existing settings in NVidia, or do I have to re enter again for both PC and VR for MSFS?

I was trying to update to that driver but in the process of installing MS defender flagged this driver as a trojan (Ravadon.E) people experience the same with DaVinci resolve 18 and filmora ..

12900k and 3090 64gb ram i in 5120x1440 - would not recommend, i was getting 8 fps less in windows 10. Did my own comparison and after a few flights iv gone back to 516.59 where I am 10 fps + back up

So I recently upgraded from a 1060 to GTX 3070, thinking there would be major visual and performance difference, it really hasn’t changed too much. I mainly upgraded for vr capability but am disappointed with the constant shake and stutter I get in the cockpit when using vr. Wondering if you have any solution, I use the oculus Q2 wireless with virtual desktop, launching Msfs through steam vr

I have similar setup. 1080ti with Q2 but tethered. My experience is ok. There are some tweaks videos from this channel and a few others out there that do make a decent difference so I'd recommend that too but I( and if you read enough of everyone comments or watch enough video including these content makers) and many other still have stutters on the ground and some other odd drop outs

I have exactly the same setup (except a 3080). I have to launch MSFS from monitor and wait for it to load.. Then in headset open VD. Then in VD open steamVR. Then *from the monitor* I switch to 'VR mode' in MSFS. If I don't do it in this order I get terrible stutters. Took me ages to work this out!

@@pumpkineater23 i would try this except i have xbox game pass. I may try the same procedure with it anyway and see if it helps. If theres at least one thing is true about real devoted flight simmers is you gotta love trying to tweak and fighting for performance. Especially with MSFS. I would love to just go back to X-Plane 11 vr for its smoothness and operation but the difference in graphics kills me.
