MSFS | REVIEW: Macco Simulations Cancun (MMUN) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Thanks for the review. I have their Manchester Airport and that has some lovely touches too. It's becoming clearer, I think, that MSFS scenery modelling often requires a different skill set from what's gone before in terms of the stunning fidelity it's capable of. Newcomers like Macco and Pyreegue are showing a lot of more established developers exactly what's possible. You rightly allude to this. The asking price is more than reasonable too.

I agree. It's a stunning scenery and I'm having a blast with my Sunwing flights from various departure points in Canada with the PMDG 737. Two things would make it perfect, IMO. On approach to the airport, the large ground polys comprising the airport and surrounding areas show as large white planes and the textures pop in one by one. I think there are 6 or 8 of them. This is quite distracting, unfortunately. I wish I could attach a pic to show you what I mean. The other minor quibble are the low res ground textures close to the airport on approach to 12R. Most of the ground satellite imagery on final is great, with the exception of a few miles before touchdown. Great review!

Good review as always. Great to see many newer devs creating material that's close to rivaling ORBX. Real bright future for simmers with this kind of talent that only gets better. I personally appreciate that 'jab" (15:21 ) at MSFS Scenery Dev. I feel like I'm flying in Flight Simulator 2000 when I look at that "scenery." Anyway, good job, and keep up the great informative reviews!

Yeah, similar I'd say. No noticeable performance hit from either scenery here.

The lack of people in the terminals just kills it for me. The satellite imagery looks terrible, no interior modeling of the tower….. there’s better.
