Hi Filbert. I've been enjoying your airport reviews. I recently purchased Edinburg and Glasgow. Simply amazing, I love them! Anyway, this evening I purchased the new Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport by Digital Design. O.M.G.!!!! It is simply mind blowing! The high res textures and meticulous attention to detail that went into this design is just phenomenal! It's truly a work of art and it belongs in every simmer's arsenal of goodies. I spent about an hour exploring it inside an out. It's a must buy for sure and I hope you can do a review soon. Cheers mate!

Nice to see some improvements! The new interiors and night lighting looks awesome. The roads not actually being terraformed annoys me to no end at heaps of airports, looking at you especially Brisbane…

The only negative thing I can say about this scenery is the tunnels under the taxiways not being properly modeled since I get reminded of it every time I taxi past. I also wonder if it’ll finally work on Xbox, currently causing an instant CTD upon loading in.

Can't wait for v2, just waiting on Microsoft since I bought the product thru the store (at a good price). Hope they fixed the LatinVFR static issue, the airport switched to default gates when used.

great improvements for me. a bit of changes and it's perfect. i understand that maybe they're considering the file size since a single texture set would increase the file size drastically and adding more texture sets would affect that

Thank your for your review Filbert, but I don't see how this is an improvement at all. At 1:55 the terminal is just a white blob with black rectangles instead of windows. This modeling is the level of a 9-year old who's learning blender. The car below is just dark. The pillars are of different quality even though they are right next to each other. This scenery is a big let down. I understand that you can't be all negative because the developers probably provided you with this but it's not making it any better really.

Always takes a long time for the Marketplace to be updated. This is one of the reasons why I avoid buying things from it if there's an alternative. It'll get there though.

Love your detailed and well covered videos man! I have a question on how you manage the space on your computer regarding scenerys and addons etc? I notice a lot of scenerys starts to take up a lot of disc space so how do you manage this?

Well, I struggled for a few months with uninstalling things and replacing them with new things, then I bit the bullet and bought a new 2TB SSD just for MSFS. :)

Why is the default airport laid under this? I can see 2 air traffic control towers for example. How do you get rid of this without uninstalling the deluxe package (as this takes out all of the other airports such as KSFO)?

If you search in your content manager for EGLL, you should find the Asobo version of Heathrow and then you can just remove that.

Ah, you need to make sure only EGLL is selected. There's a button to expand the category if I remember rightly.

@@simplesimulations5158 hmm, if there's no update available in the content manager then I guess Microsoft haven't released V2 onto the marketplace yet. You'll just have to wait until they do.

I picked this up on Xbox for £20 last week. The version available there is still v1 (1.2.1 I iirc). Within a few hours I uninstalled it because it crashed 90% of the time. A complete waste of money. No idea if v2. will ever become available because if they couldn't be bothered making v1 work, I doubt they'll bother again. I feel cheated.

The performance is better for me. I get a few stutters when it's busy with VATSIM traffic, but not half as many as I used to.

Why is it important to have an entire terminal modeled? This is a flight simulator not a hiking app. Sorry but I would prefer it if the airport was less jerky than walking through the terminal. Or make it an option within the Set up to switch the interior on or off.

Interiors in MSFS have very little impact on performance compared with previous generation sims. I like them because they add to the immersion and I don't think it's realistic to expect devs to produce two versions of the same airport, one with interiors and one without, when the performance impact is so minimal. It's pretty much the norm to have an interior these days and I think most would agree that this is a positive thing, making airports feel a lot more realistic and alive.

@@FilbertFlies I that case they should focus more on the performance. Me and two other guys have the same performance problems as soon as that airport comes into play. I removed mine from my system today because of the leck of of performance.

@@joachimp4265 it's interesting, my performance is significantly improved in this version but I know quire a few people are still having issues. As I said in the video, I hope they'll continue to improve it, including when it comes to performance.

I work in Terminal 5 every night and that is an awful representation also they have dnata articulated trucks outside the BA World Cargo Centre. SMH
