Thanks, excellent explanation 👍 saw a few TCAS targets today, but could not see any planes out the window, did a night flight and when on final I saw a few "dark planes", they were all there but no nav or landing lights on, was weird to actually see the plane on TCAS and see the plane next or over me, but none had any lights on 🤭

Lol I know the bugs are kinda crazy I'm using a couple a addons for traffic and it's working OK not great still testing before I do a vid . Yesterday no planes showing up but if I turn on tags I know a plane Is there and I can hear them so I rebooted and then they were there but some where just white idk . Weird. Thank you for the great explanation. I don't know why when I enter the departure, it does not show the heading and distance of the "WONCE" location. Could you please explain this issue? Basically, my flight plan breaks since it does not connect the "MANSEQ" and "TERPS" to each other

How do you enable and select this GXI G1000 Nav unit, I use the MSFS ADD-on linker for numerous freeware etc am I right that I would have un -check the working title G1000 to implement G1000NXI?

yes you need to un check the g1000wt in the addon linker so you do not want the g1000wt in the community folder then on the marketplace search g1000 and the nxi mod will come up download it and you are set! Thanks for watching i hope this helped you

Thanks for your clear video! When I first start the engine of the aircraft and then enter the flight plan, the engine stops immediately after pressing the ENTER key. Example: I enter EHAM at departure and then press the ENTER key on my keyboard. NOW THE PLANE'S ENGINE STOPS IMMEDIATELY. Is that normal, or is this a bug? Michael from The Netherlands. 12:09

Really helpful but once FP loaded I just can’t find how to scroll lower (eg to see final altitudes especially in VNAV)! The bottom portion is out of sight. Although using XBox X, I do have mouse and keyboard. Thanks

Press in on the inner knob to get the highlight selector and roll the outer knob to scroll. Thanks for the comment hope this helps

@@2020fsers thank you for replying. I understand the inner and outer knobs, it’s simply (for me anyway on XBox flying Beechcraft G58) impossible to scroll the flight plan once loaded. On the instrument screen the white scroll bar is visible indicating that there’s more to display further down i.e. the final bits of the FP. I need this for the lowest altitude to put in for VNAV. Before ‘loading’ the bearings are shown and can be scrolled. Only once loaded are the altitudes shown but on a long one only the top portion. Like I said, I can’t then scroll using any combination of knobs once loaded! Very frustrating.

Wow ok yeah that would be frustrating. Are you using any mods or liveries if so empty the community folder and check again also make sure you have the latest g1000nxi mod.

@@2020fsers thanks again. No, it’s just via XBox X, so no ability to do anything non-standard. It might just be an XBox limitation. Overall it’s an incredible piece of hardware for very little money. No VR and many other bits missing vs PC. When GPU prices settle I’ll probably get a decent PC. Have no need for another PC other than for flight sim. Cheers.

Yes it can ,as I do not have a navigraph subscription.

Why does the MFD show Manseq on the plan, and how does it handle that?

The manseq . It should ask you when entering the flight if you want to use the manseq or something like that. I haven't really used the g1000 in a while so please forgive me here. I will be redoing the entire g1000 series soon with all the new updated nxi stuff.

It appears that this gps has more features than than g3000/5000 on the longitude. I see altitudes and frequency info, why would that be. Doesn't make sense.

They put more effort into the g1000 and no attention to the g3000 lately .

@@2020fsers I am having a lot of trouble with the g3000 in the longitude, the ils does not always work. I may remove the mod from my community folder. The GPS does always control the attitude when it hits the frequency, I have made all the correct settings, actual it sucks. Forgive me
