Hi CaptPiett and thank you for this video. Your setup seems very close to mine except for activesky. Thats why I have a question about that: it seems that for this flight you mainly used Activesky to get the historical weather into simbrief so that FSHud could then choose the runways for takeoff and landing correctly, am I right? Since MSFS2024 now has historical weather for the last 24 hours, could you have left activesky off during the actual flight and just rely on MSFS weather? Or would you not recommend that?

I prefer Active Sky as I think the clouds are overall more realistic. But no problem using default historical weather - that works too. But you're right, when making a flight plan with historical weather, I use Active Sky to upload the weather snapshot to simbrief.

Have you figured how to fix the no wheel issues on IAG traffic? Using Fshud with AIG and works like s charm! The no wheels on models is driving my crazy though

Thanks! I highly recommend both FSHud and GSX. As for airliners, I've mostly flown the iFly 737 and Fenix 319-321 lately. But I've tried iniBuilds A330 - really liked it!

@@captainpiett765 Having a hard time deciding on the aircraft lol. Inibuilds has an a320 in the sim already and they made the a330 as well. Do I really need another a320 with the Fenix? I've heard the Asobo Max isn't very good compared to the iFly Max. Hard decisions. Love watching your channel to see how handle them since I'm so new. Looking forward to your next video already!

@ It might be better to wait until the iFly MAX is ready for 2024. Meanwhile it’s possible to use Asobo’s MAX to get familiar with the aircraft. If you are looking into learning how to do things the Airbus way, I highly recommend the A330. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for next videos - I need more ideas 😊

@@JCLG You need to download profiles for e.g. A320. There are several on flightsim.to. In the connector menu, select “load”, then choose the profile. Then click “run”.

Hi Captain, before to buy Active Sky I'd like to have your feedback. Can Active skya avoid the orrible historical weather of MSFS2024. What I mean, imagine now in Rome aiport I set back the time to 9.00UTC but I want the real metar (12.50UTC)

It's possible to set any time in the sim, use historical weather in Active Sky and turn off live weather in the sim.

AIG. Not officially working I think. But mostly working though - except missing gear

There is default traffic with real world liveries and real time traffic.Just as it also is in MSFS 2020 for quite some time now. No need for add on traffic programs. Its always better for performance to keep the sim as vanilla as possible.

@@damienb7924 Yes I struggled a bit with this. Turn off online traffic in the online menu. Then in the graphics menu, all the options at the bottom that has to do with aircraft, and also airports neeed to be off

@@sebastianocalcolabruzzo3971 With the latest update, FSHud can control any AI traffic in the sim, regardless of how they are injected. So I suppose with FSLTL, use their injector, then set FSHud to use “simulator” traffic in the panel.

​@@SebastianoCalcoLabruzzo It might be that the flight plans are generated by FSLTL, but that FSHud controls AI traffic once it is in the sim. Not 100% sure. Amount of traffic depends on the settings of course, but with e.g. 15 active aircraft it gets quite busy on the frequencies.
