The giant panda is a terrestrial animal and primarily spends its life roaming and feeding in the bamboo forests of the Qinling Mountains and in the hilly province of Sichuan. Giant pandas are generally solitary. Each adult has a defined territory and a female is not tolerant of other females in her range. Social encounters occur primarily during the brief breeding season in which pandas in proximity to one another will gather. After mating, the male leaves the female alone to raise the cub. Pandas were thought to fall into the crepuscular category, those who are active twice a day, at dawn and dusk; however, Jindong Zhang found that pandas may belong to a category all of their own, with activity peaks in the morning, afternoon and midnight. Due to their sheer size, they can be active at any time of the day. Activity is highest in June and decreases in late summer to autumn with an increase from November through the following March. Activity is also directly related to the amount of sunlight during colder days. Pandas communicate through vocalisation and scent marking such as clawing trees or spraying urine. They are able to climb and take shelter in hollow trees or rock crevices, but do not establish permanent dens. For this reason, pandas do not hibernate, which is similar to other subtropical mammals, and will instead move to elevations with warmer temperatures. Pandas rely primarily on spatial memory rather than visual memory. Though the panda is often assumed to be docile, it has been known to attack humans, presumably out of irritation rather than aggression. Pandas have been known to cover themselves in horse manure to protect themselves against cold temperatures.

That's the great thing about simulators. They simulate real life. Longest flight I've done so far, was on a 747-8i from Dubai to Tahiti international (with only upoer deck, first class, and business class loaded), was just under 18 hours. Went to work, came back and even took a nap. When I had FSX, I did all the longest flights in the world with 787-9 and 777-200ER. Also made some of my own like Iceland to Antartica (17 hours and change) on a 787-9.

Eight hours? I remember when I was in college, and my parents went on a trip for their anniversary. So I took that time to do a flight from DC to tokyo, live, no acceleration, no nothing. That was almost 14 hours of flying, took off at 12pm, touched down at 2am. That was the days.

For what it's worth (sorry if this has been mentioned already), the "nodding" at 7:06 is MSFS's way of dealing with a Vertical Speed setting that's too high for the aircraft's configuration. Basically, it cannot climb at that rate given the weight and speed, so it just keeps trying to go up, discovers it can't do it, and drops the nose, rinse & repeat. Backing down on V/S will solve it.

I’m not a pilot but I’d assume this would be the same thing in real life. I fly the FBW A320 quite a bit, and the higher you go, the lower the nose gets which makes sense because the air is much thinner. Right now, the Cessna Citation Longitude has a bug - when you reach FL440, it’s nose goes instantly down and stalls and nearly spins. Didn’t happen before SU6.

Worked as a commercial fueler at an FBO for a bit. They also handled the charters for the city's pro sports teams. I was always hearing about how it was a great fringe benefit for us when they would land because they would give us their uneaten catering. Then, one sunday evening, it happened. It finally happened; the van came to our office under the terminal to take the rest of the shift home (I was staying to do cargo before heading out) and the driver was talking about how there was so much food back at base, the football team got absolutely smacked down and didn't want to eat on the way home. The driver ended up bringing me a plate all the way back to the other side of the airport before punching out himself. I said thanks and wished him a good night, and went back into the office to eat. I took the foil off the plate... and it was fettucine alfredo. So weirdly, to me, you eating your fettucine alfredo behind the yoke seemed pretty normal. Seems like a perfect aviation food

@jackthedragonkiller5097
@jackthedragonkiller5097 2 жыл бұрын
@@zzirfamo24 that’s actually a good question. The answer varies person to person as most sims have options to speed up the time, but personally I don’t like doing that. So to answer, I actually fly the real time it takes. If a flights gonna take 11 hours, I’d actually fly for 11 IRL hours. Longest I’ve gone is 7 and a half hours and that was my first long-haul flight so it was painful. But worth it! Now when flying airliners, I do what an actual pilot would do. Kick on the autopilot. So even if a flight is 5 hours long, once I’m up in the air with the autopilot on, I can chill out, watch KZbin, listen to music, watch a movie. Then once I’m close to my destination, I’ll come back and descend and land. It’s not as boring as it may seem, though I love aviation and plan to be an airline pilot so I might as well get used to the long periods of airtime before being thrown in for the real deal.

Very fascinating video, with myself being a fanatic for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner family. I especially liked the in depth information on how you departed and landed the aircraft and also the realistic scenery while descent into Geneva. I'm currently heavily using Infinite Flight at the moment, though will definitely look to investing myself with Microsoft Flight Simulator in the future. Once again, great video, I really enjoyed it.

A cement is a binder, a substance used for construction that sets, hardens, and adheres to other materials to bind them together. Cement is seldom used on its own, but rather to bind sand and gravel (aggregate) together. Cement mixed with fine aggregate produces mortar for masonry, or with sand and gravel, produces concrete. Concrete is the most widely used material in existence and is behind only water as the planet's most-consumed resource.[2] Cements used in construction are usually inorganic, often lime or calcium silicate based, which can be characterized as non-hydraulic or hydraulic respectively, depending on the ability of the cement to set in the presence of water (see hydraulic and non-hydraulic lime plaster). Non-hydraulic cement does not set in wet conditions or under water. Rather, it sets as it dries and reacts with carbon dioxide in the air. It is resistant to attack by chemicals after setting. Hydraulic cements (e.g., Portland cement) set and become adhesive due to a chemical reaction between the dry ingredients and water. The chemical reaction results in mineral hydrates that are not very water-soluble and so are quite durable in water and safe from chemical attack. This allows setting in wet conditions or under water and further protects the hardened material from chemical attack. The chemical process for hydraulic cement was found by ancient Romans who used volcanic ash (pozzolana) with added lime (calcium oxide). The word "cement" can be traced back to the Ancient Roman term opus caementicium, used to describe masonry resembling modern concrete that was made from crushed rock with burnt lime as binder. The volcanic ash and pulverized brick supplements that were added to the burnt lime, to obtain a hydraulic binder, were later referred to as cementum, cimentum, cäment, and cement. In modern times, organic polymers are sometimes used as cements in concrete. World production is about four billion tonnes per year,[3] of which about half is made in China.[4][5] If the cement industry were a country, it would be the third largest carbon dioxide emitter in the world with up to 2.8 billion tonnes, surpassed only by China and the United States.[6] The initial calcination reaction in the production of cement is responsible for about 4% of global CO 2 emissions.[7] The overall process is responsible for about 8% of global CO 2 emissions, as the cement kiln in which the reaction occurs is typically fired by coal or petroleum coke due to the luminous flame required to heat the kiln by radiant heat transfer.[8] As a result, the production of cement is a major contributor to climate change.
