I have been listening to Merle Haggard since I was a boy I have most of his recordings he's been with me all over the country met him one time in Lavergne Tennessee he's a great guy but this recording is something really to be proud of I wonder if he knows how many people he has really touched with this song great job you've knocked it right of the park.

Would have been gentlemanly of Merle to have acknowledged the creator of this song. The most humble, real song writer in the time of Merle's hay-day. Blaze Foley. Ya'll who don't know Blaze Foley..... Search out a really beautiful, gifted man who wrote the most heart stirring songs; and made a lot of our favorite artists in the country music arena very rich.
