Hi Marnie. I enjoyed this video. I’m going to check out that tote. It is weird in hotel rooms. They are bare bones. We traveled to Virginia last month and it was nice. Resort condo had everything we needed and we could eat inside restaurants. It was almost normal. 😷 looking forward to hearing about your Tuscan trip. Take care. 🤗

Your bag is great, it does look like the perfect tote, (except for the price). I also love your amazon top, such a great color on you. What I’m most curious/confused about is how your sons are going back to college when colleges all over America have cancelled in-person classes? (Including my own daughters at the UofW). It seems (to me) you’re portraying that life is back to normal in Texas, while the rest of America is still living an alternate reality.

Hi Steph- check out the PurseN brand tote -their website or Chicos had last year- also chicos had nice totes too. My daughter went back to college- in Dallas and they are being very strict with masks, no parties allowed etc-

I've traveled across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi and it's as normal as it can be under the circumstances. People here are just following common sense and the local ordinances-wearing masks, limiting gatherings to under 10 (or staying in their family groups), washing hands, etc. Numbers here are down, so I guess we're doing ok. And both of my kids have a mix of online-only and hybrid (in person sometimes) classes, which is what the majority of colleges are doing, to my knowledge.

Marnie, thanks for all the travel tips...and all those tiny things that you need when traveling , even if I make a list, makes me anxious! I hate to pack for a trip, and always try to start a day or two ahead of time...also, figuring out what to wear etc. and bring! Loved all the little zipper bags and your detailed description of what you bring ...especially all the phone, computer, laptop extras, and the coffee maker! And, yes, I also love my own pillow, and little throw, can’t stand the bedspreads in hotels-how many people have “slept” on them?! ☺️💕

I have always took my own coffee pot when I travel for years. I watched a video on a news program that convinced me that all hotel coffee pots were disgusting. I also always take my own coffee cup and I can’t sleep without my pillow. So when I do pack to go somewhere it’s ridiculous what I will take for only one night. Crazy I know but I think it paid off when the pandemic started because I had to travel a lot for the first three months on lockdown due to a sickness with my momma. Thanks for sharing everything

Maybe too personal - but what do you do about bathroom visits when you are on the road? This is coming from someone who has only been to the grocery store, hairdressers (first appt. of the day, only client), one gas tank fill, and the drug store, since March!

We need to keep things in perspective here-we're not traveling through an Ebola-plagued world. So...I wear a mask when I go indoors, and use the facilities like I normally would-I mean, gas station bathrooms are gross anyway, so it's an area I try to avoid as much as possible, but when I do, I work on my quads and SQUAT!! Wash your hands like normal, and you're off! Bonus with the mask-you can't smell the bathroom as clearly! ;)
