The brand NEW B460 Torpedo also seems a very good deal if you guys need ATX size. (In my country has the same price.) I had B460M Mortar for 2 months till my MSI MAG B460 Tomahawk arrived. These 3 boards are very good for the 4 simple reason: 1. PL2 255W power support with good VRM heatsinks, that runs CPU high clock speed on all-core turbo. (Cheaper/simple boards can allow only 125W.) So we can upgrade to i7-10700 easily to get 4.6GHz all-core turbo on 8C/16T. 2. ALC1200 sound schip (much better than any other lower) 3. Good LAN chips (Realtek 2.5G or Intel 1G) 4. 4 RAM slot. Using 4 RAM module gives performance boost at many games.

I have the sister board, the B550M Mortar; the layout is extremely similar & overall am fairly happy with it - notwithstanding the slightly awkward BIOS. The biggest design flaw which might not be a problem with a K series CPU is the BIOS reset jumper is under the GPU, so if you fail an overclock you have to take the GPU out to reset it.

Your commentary to check the manual and carefully read what becomes unavailable when installing 2 M.2 sticks is a good warning. I'm in that situation now. I'm planning on building a B550 board (for AMD) and I want to go with the MSI MAG B550 Mortoar WiFi. Like your mobo in this video, it also supports 2 M.2 slots. Nice. But here's my delimma - The primary M.2 PCIe lanes are tied directly to the CPU. It can support PCIe v4 x4 lanes. I bought a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB when it was on sale. That's NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 Stick. Obviously that's going in the primary (MSI calls it the FROZR shield) slot. HOWEVER, i also have a M.2 SATA SSD. Just like your B460M MORTAR the second M.2 slot doesn't support SATA SSDs. It'll work with NVMe SSDs, but it'll disable the other PCIe 3.0 x16 slot if I make use of it.

(possibly more light needed from above, looks a little dark). The breadth of information and the little details other KZbinrs don't add you put into your videos continues to educate and inspire me. They're such that i go back again and again to your videos as i learn something everytime. For example, you say "don't do this" but unlike others you then go into detail as to *why* we shouldn't..in detail, with examples and with authority. Love it. Keep doing the do! And, thank you for looking at an MSI board, they seem to be very good value right now, especially the black friday and latest winter offers. Although I bought a z490i and the board was bent! If one really wasn't expecting to do over clocking, but was still aiming to get the best out of the box performance from upper end, but not bleeding edge components, is there any reason to go to an intel Z board? (Frankly, 99% of the time that my PC is running, it's faced to the wall and I keep it as far out of the way as possible! I'd rather spend the money on a better monitor than RGB for inside the case. It makes me money so it needs to be extremely stable.)

I sorta understand his explanation of the i3 chip, but after months of "don't cheap out, buy better if you can afford it, yes, you only need 'X' today, but buy better anyways"... I found the choice of putting an i3 in such a nice MB perplexing... at least spend the extra $50 for an i5-10400 6-core chip? I mean the guy over at Byte Sized Tech always says don't cheap out, build for the future... $50 more buys you 2 more cores of future proof and a better resale value in the future.

Are there any kind of budget boards that have decent built-in bluetooth support? Not looking for anything too high end since most of what I play are JRPG and they're usually not too hard to run, but I have had hell trying to get USB Bluetooth adapters to work worth a crap. I usually game a few feet away from my PC as I like to use my TV instead of my monitor most of the time for gaming. I don't understand how bluetooth can be so effortless and have such great range on consoles but every time I try to use it on PC the controllers run like crap if I'm even three feet away from the receiver. If I'm playing Persona 5 on PS4 and there is a long section of dialogue I can plug headphones and listen to and press X to scroll through text from the toilet on my DualShock 4, but any bluetooth controller I have just sucks if I'm not right next to the adapter on PC.

Cuz even if you can't OC the K on a B board it will still boost up and give you better performance without the extra heat you get from OC. so in theory the K would be better on a non OC board for base performance vs buying an F chip.
