The sad thing is I really like the look of the claw over the rog ally or the legion go going with intel over AMD was a disaster what was msi thinking did they even test it at all they had to have seen benchmarks from the other handhelds on the market?

they're making the mistake again with the next Claw that will still use Intel when AMD strix or AI 300 is coming out. OneNetBook is the only other handheld that used Intel and they moved away from Intel quickly with the AMD X1 and AMD X1 mini. Whatever sweet deals Intel gave handheld OEMs is not proving to be worth it.

I was really upset about the performance, actually, but after the new updates, I think it's good now. Lego and ally is better iknow but he can compete

I love my msi claw. I updated the bios and im using a program called Loseless Scaling or something it costs arrond 7 euro's but its worthed. Now i can play low settings 1080p dead island 2 from 30 to 45 fps to 70 90 fps. Capped on 60fps works perfectly thanks to that program. And why would u buy a case? I got a free msi case together with my claw

@@zewzow_173read what i commented and enjoy your claw. If it gets too hot just edit your fan speeds. I put it a lot higher and now the claw feels very cool while playing DI2 even when charging

In my opinion, if retailers and MSI drastically lowered the price of the claw to the point where it is much lower than the legion go, and rog ally, I could see the argument for it. But if you want the halfway decent version (155H) it costs more than the legion go and ally. You'd be foolish to go with it at this point. They will end up abandoning the claw due to sales. Right now, they need to market the best version of the claw at the same price as the ally z1 non-extreme. I'd buy it at that point.

By the way, you can use the rog's screen protector. It works for me .

There's no way I could have possibly predicted that the MSI claw was going to fail this badly, but it makes me glad that I was never interested in it to begin with. Didn't seem much different than what was already out there. (When it was initially announced that is.)

Literally the only thing the claw has going for it over the rog ally is the sd cards lack of overheating that’s it that and maybe the look of the device but that’s subjective I always liked the look of msi products over the other laptop and desktop manufacturers it’s that 90s edgy design 😎lol

@@GungKrisna12 problem is Intel. They haven't done jack with the drivers since this post and looking to discard lunar lake for their next chips already. Those who got the MSI Claw learned their lesson the hard way.

Eta prime , needs a bench test station, that plugs in and scanns the devices specs. Online games specs and performance issues require,, certain ram, cpu. And Gpu. Speeds to work. Theres a few other tips . But would need a main system to conpare and test. This has a 1.4 cores with 4.8 ghz. Its better than the switch.

all is terrible, terrible power consumption, lots of noise and heat, no battery duration and intel doesnt make gpus, not one you want to buy and use on games, these igpus are just barely good for excell and youtube, not for games, no

From what I hear Intel basically gave them the chips for free. Even if the product is underwhelming, I'm glad it's around to expose more of intel's weaknesses they can work on. When Meteor Lake first came out I didn't hear that much criticism about the performance and even the battery life was praised. But in a handheld..... It's weaknesses have been exposed massively

there is nothing to hope for. intel meteor lake is another trash product, it's so bad that the big battery is still worse than the AMD handhelds, the Arc GPU architecture is also trash still. this won't be figured out any time soon. look at the Arc a770. Intel spent more money than AMD/nvidia on that GPU, it's BIG and more dense than RTX 3070, it's almost as big as RX 6800(which is the top big fat RDNA2 die) all for lower than 1080Ti performance. don't even hope for lunar lake either, revisit intel products in five years.

dear software engineers, please install desktop version Linux/Ubuntu to smartphones(you software engineers/masters can create fit/proper drivers for ARM chipsets) with qualcomm snapdragon gen 2-3. Already android phones can run AAA/quality windows PC games on/by MOBOX/Winlator/Exagear ennulators, so, we know current day admiralship smartphones are strong as much as at least 2013s gaming Laptops.

Overpriced and well underpowered compared to the Z1 extreme/7840 socs. Msi should have put out updates like Asus did for the Ally, unfortunately we see no improvements to performance.
