@@EnterpriseKnight probably your 2060, losses scaling is not worth it if you are gpu limited, it gives worse performance (lower base fps) but gives you lots of bad ai frames so it looks bad.

Lossless Scaling is great if used correctly. The price for the app is definitely worth it. It helps a lot of games play better

I just downloaded & tested 50 games from game pass using a 7000 series AMD handheld. I don’t have a mobile intel chip device, but at 720p ALL 50 games ran 4x frame rate scaling with no fracturing & no graphical bugs. If you jump to 1080p not all games can achieve this, but almost every single game at 720 can do it. 4x frame gen takes game that is running at 30 fps+ natively & increases the frame rate to 120 fps+ this is the craziest tech in the history of gaming. Even if it could only deliver 80% of this performance to a Claw, it would still singehandedly save that handheld. You can officially fish it out of the dust bin if it’s in there.

Bought it yesterday and it's great for emulation since all the 30 fps limited games will run at 60. For me, setting the sync mode to vsync improved the input lag a little bit but in any case, the brain gets used to it and adapts.

I tried LS on an old laptop from 2018 with a potato iGPU (intel UHD 630) running Skyrim SE. I had it running at 720p with all the settings as low as they could go, and it was shockingly very playable that way, but I wanted to see if LS could push it to a consistent 60+ FPS and maybe even allow a bit better settings. Unfortunately, LS itself has enough overhead that the game ran better without it. It's a very cool program, for sure, and I hope it will come in handy in other situations, but you can only push it so far. It was a fun little experiment anyway.

Valve needs to make this a native option in Steam OS's quick access menu. The $7 fee is miniscule but sadly will affect its mainstream appeal. If Valve can add this, it's yet another reason to switch to SteamOS on handheld PC's.

valve isn't the one that are making gaming on linux great... people are trying to implement it on Linux, they have made some progress but there still so much work to done. I really hope we will get it on 2025-2026

@@funny_animalandia FYI since it's pretty incredible to me but if you plan on playing Skyrim, you can do all the claw bios tweaks mentioned online and get like 120fps in Skyrim legendary edition consistently at 15w on AI mode using dxvk Async and medium-low settings at 1366x768. Can probably push them settings and resolution higher than that but it worked for me there very well.

I got LS like a couple of months ago. Honestly, even 20€ would be completely worth it, I LOVE the app's frame generation: • I can play capped emulated console games at 60-120 FPS without (sometimes game-breaking) patches; _Gran Turismo 2_ has a 60 FPS patch made by Silent, but _Ridge Racer Type 4_ and _WipEout 3_ do not; adding LSFG on top of them is transformative. • Severely capped games (like _Transformers: War for Cybertron_ and _Need for Speed: Rivals,_ which by default are limited to 30 FPS) can be smoothed out up to 120 FPS; while the screen can get riddled with artifacts given higher multiplication and fast movement, it is *definitely* worth it over near-filmic framerates. • My laptop can run _Need for Speed_ 2016 at 2560×1600 at 100-200 FPS; I decided to cap it at 60 FPS (via NVIDIA control panel) then 4× with LSFG, the final framerate just won't drop below 220, and the graphical quality is marvelous. • It can also run games like _GRID 2_ at mostly steady native 240 FPS, however the 4070 Max-Q does run at its peak almost all of the time and abundant particle effects on screen can half the framerate (not that it is obvious to my eyes); with LSFG, the final framerate is far more stable and the computer isn't working as hard, which I hope extends the laptop's longevity. What I am not as convinced by is the app's rescaling: its variety of algorithms does give it quite a lot of use cases, but people really shouldn't expect an effectiveness reminiscent of DLSS; it shows that the native resolution is lower, but it's better than nothing.

PS: Also, it seems to work on anything that produces video; you can use it on KZbin, and it is funny to see it smooth out ×0'25 playback to the framerate of the original playback speed.

I just bought it for my Acer 17 2024 Laptop.... I am still in shock with the performance. I mean everyone, regardless of specs needs this. just stunning. Note: keeping the Frame Gen at 2X even if you aren't using an IGPU helps decrease latency alot it seems.

@@MrHamncheez Pll use this when they cant use other options as I understand it. Didnt work well on 30FPS locked on Towerborne as I hoped. Maybe the cpu didnt have enough overhead.

@SilB it's pure laziness and it's what it is to expect from a lot of content creators in the future. He's probably even using chatgpt to draft a script for all this sponsored e waste too. I saw another channel I follow attempt this and everyone called them out on it. They essentially want to automate their content creation while sitting back, sipping Pina coladas on the beach. No thanks. At that point, you're nothing more than an NPC.

I found that for scaling DLSS is much better, so I only use this for frame gen. My monitor only supports 60hrz, so I run some games capped at 30 and use framegen to reach 60. For cyberpunk I use DLSS and Framegen, with a mod. Because that also uses motion vectors for the framegen, which this app can’t

Any advice on how to reduce artifacts during fast movement when using FG? I tried it with Hogwarts Legacy, thinking maybe if I capped the framerate to 30, it would give it enough frame-time to reduce the notorious stutters in that game, and then I could make up the difference with FG. It worked too, except that the visual artifacts introduced by FG when the camera was moving fast were even more distracting than the stutters.

This is just 3.5 dollars in my country the only thing that will make it perfect is head glitching solve . In some games like Spiderman remastered i tested it for hours the charecter ghosting is very noticeable there. For other games ( i tested RDR2,Ghost of Tsushima, AC Odyssey) whole character ghosting was less noticeable but the head glitch was noticeable only when u move you mouse too fast playing with a controller will solve it or make it less noticeable. Bought cyberpunk today will test it soon

I downgraded it from 2.11 to 2.10 because there is a slow motion when my character walked and its not there on 2.10 so ill wait for a update to fix this

I use it on the Ally X but on 2x but I swear their numbers lie. It says way more frames yet feels largely the same, sometimes worse. Very strange.

i think that additional fps are just mind conitioning you are getting high frames using lossless. i dont know if ally x has amd software just like legion go does but it does make my gaming stable and smooth. i get stable gaming and more battery life when i lauch games from amd software compared to launching games from desktop. i didnt get higher fps but it made 800p look like 1600p with stable fps of 65 to 75.

u forgot to say that u MUST limit your fps to the half of your screen refresh ratio...example: for a 60hz monitor,limit your fps with rivatuner to 30) 2nd example: for 120hz monitor,limit your game fps to 60 with rivatuner..then with framegeneration it goes to 120frames...thank me later!

ill recommend less powerful machine to revert lossless scaling version to version legacy 2.1. The newest version takes up alot more resources even at 2x mode. legacy 2.1 takes almost 50% less resources.

I mean I use it religiously when connected to my 7900XTX in my razer core x chroma. My issue is trying to run fallout 76. I try to scale it, but even at 2x scale the picture is so washed out it's not even funny. Never ran into this with my Legion go... Been asking for help on reddit but to no avail. I run my claw the highest sku model with over boost on and Performance mode set in the software and it just doesn't look good. I know you loose some graphical fidelity but not that much.
