Built my first pc using this card a few months ago (Been a console gamer forever) and I am impressed every time I run a graphics intense game. Super smooth 1440p ultra cranked everything. Good temps (never seen it go over 70 under heavy gaming load) and super SUPER quiet. Well worth it.

I got this recently. The temp is incredible! its not even going up from 60-68 temp! while my previous gtx 1660 super gigabyte is always 78% to 83-85% sheesh! i love this new card! Worth every penny! i can even play all games in super duper ultra quality and the fps is superb!

Pardon for late reply! I only play 1080P as of now and the card doesn’t get much hot, but above 70% fan speed it can get louder. The extra power draw is due to little high clocked core, its fine. RGB doesn’t add much to the total power draw at all. RX 570 580 gets too hot, this card will be much cooler, don’t you worry :)

at 1080p even the 570 doesn't get past 64c much, but at 1440p or 3440 tho, boy does it while am aware the 570 series is a hot card, am still worried about th 3060ti running 1440p /3440p :( i have problems with my ears and loud sound hurts slight base clock on the core is it ?. stil tho. does it make a difference in heat?, also what about undervolting? and overclocking ? i saw a video where oc added 20fps more on this gaming x model

You aren’t noob, its a very valid question. Almost all Graphics card provides higher clock speed than advertised or Nvidia Advertised speed.. 1770 MHz is base line 3060 Ti, if any cards goes below that, then that’s an indication the card is having some problems…

Thank you. For me, I feel like GPU overclocking isn’t worth it at all, I keep it in stock. But for this graphics card, memory can go to +900 stable and Core +150 stable but again not worth it for gaming at all.

Yes this card have 0 RPM and yes cooling performance of this card is better than twin edge. But, why don’t you go for ARC A770, where i live at least A770 going cheaper than 3060 ti and believe me or not its a much better deal with 16GB VRAM & with time A770 will catch 3070 performance, they are working hard.

I had it under consideration due to its similar price ( gigabyte at 480 and arc at 460 € ) but probably nwont go that way for 2 reasons. One is I read the arc is struggling with older titles i would be interested in playing and the second one is I trust the shop that sells the gigabyte A LOT more, which might be a stupid reason tho.

Ooo, here Arc 770 is 380 Euro! Anyway, ARC founders edition from Intel is pretty good, solid build quality, looks good and widely available, I don’t think you could go wrong no matter from where you buy on top of that DX9 games are more optimised now, if you are planning to keep the GPU over 3-4 years, then 16GB VRAM should always be the choice. If you are still not convinced I know the feeling, 3060 Ti Gaming X is solid too.

Nice to add fan noise (noise is pretty much the most important thing, otherwise all 3060ti GPUs will be quite similar to one another), but next time combine it with info on how fast they spin while gaming. :) If they span 90 percent during gameplay, I wouldn't buy this one. :)

Fan noise after 70% is bit on the louder side I would say at least compared to my other graphics cards that I have owned in the past. But in this video the noise test was bit saturated and those noise seems more louder but actually it’s not. My bad I just recorded it with my iPhone, not the best solution for noise test you know. But yeah Its bit loud and I saw in MSI website this graphics card is not particularly silent focused but airflow focused.

@@starrims I meant to add it into afterburner overlay. I think it allows the percentage of fan speed or maybe even direct RPM. Right now I own 1060 Gaming X and it never spins more than 1200 RPM while gaming in summer. And I have very poor airflow in my cheap case. I will probably go for Gigabyte Gaming OC over MSI Gaming X this time.

Trio have slightly higher clock speed 1770 vs 1830 MHz. Trio have 8 phase Vcore VRM Gaming X has 7 Phase. And 3 vs 2 fan. Nothing other than that. These differences will never make a point in real world task so paying too much extra is not worth it but yeah if you want the best of best then yes.

For 3060 Ti you dont need separate PCIE cable but you can, whatever is more convenient to you go with that, nothing to worry about.

Yes, they turn off instantly when you exit the game. But above 70% fans are bit loud. Also I’m noticing little coil whine!

I nabbed mine on the new egg shuffle. It’s honestly been pretty hit or miss for me on it. I mainly play Cod Coldwar and since switching to this card I have constant crashes almost every game. I’ve also had a few blue screen crashes to go along with it. And yes all my drivers and everything is up to date.

@@801Garage dude I feel you man the same thing was happening to me all I did was run ddu(display driver uninstaller) and redownlaod the driver from GeForce experience. Because you need to remove the old GPU drivers and download the new ones. But if you already did a clean install then your good. If it’s still crashing check memory or just return it.

I got the same card, Mine won’t boot 99% of the time, and if it does, it turns off within 5 minutes and its brand new, idk what to do, it usually just starts up and turns off within 0.5 seconds and keeps on doing that, it’s rare for it to turn on and it’s been like this since I built it 4 days ago

@@starrims i cant. i tried newegg live chat cause I bought it from there and they said they can refund me but can’t replace it cause it’s not in stock, but I bought it in a bundle and since I did buy it in a bundle I should get one from a bundle, and I tried MSI directly but it says in there warranty policy that it has to be bought directly from there website, and they aren’t open till Monday cause Labor Day so I can’t even call them for a couple days. But it could also be the cables from my PSU, they have 2 6+2 PCIE headers which is cheaper to manufacture then good cables so I’m gonna get a new power supply first cause mine is only 80+ bronze anyways so electricity bill would be quite high

Not really! I upgraded this not because I want better performance but because I will use my 3060 for mining. The performance of 3060 is already good, better than 1080 and on per with 2070 super.

650 watt is perfectly fine for my system and its plenty enough for many systems. For i9 i would recommend 750 but 650 gold can also do the work

FPS will be around 20-30% lower on 1440p display. And VRAM usage will be higher too. But 1440p will bring a lot more fidelity.

Unless you are buying 1440p OLED monitors, I would suggest not to upgrade. If your current monitor having no issues, there will be not much difference going to another IPS for just a bit more resolution. Just play at high-setting, high-FPS )

Absolutely. Think about RTX 2080 super. It was also high-end card costed almost $900 for High-End AIBs. 3060 Ti performs even better, so if you think that way its worth it. I’m not supporting the situation is going on or neither supporting inflated price by retailers / scalpers. But who ever bought this card paying high price, shouldn’t be upset at all, just should forget the MSRP and enjoy 😊 RTX 3060 owners, who bought or buying that card for over $600, Man they are real Ripped off! @@starrims Yup. see there is the thing when I was asking the seller for card price and placed my order for 3060Ti and after sometime he said the distributor is saying that he has just got the shipment of MSI 3060 Ventus X2 for the same price Rs.65k and the 3060 Ti Gaming X will be in stock on 25-26 august and the 3060 will be tommorow. So he gave me the option of buying 3060 or 3060ti and I was like why would I take a less tier card for the same price and confirm the 3060 Ti order. I think that the 3060 with less cores and vram is not a good choice for gaming and my 3D modelling/animation work as it has more VRAM but less CUDA cores while the 3060Ti is OK for rendering but not that good for 1440p gaming at the price.
