I have the GS73vr 8RE Steath with a 4K panel and the 8750 i7 with 16GB 2666 and the 8GB gtx 1070MQ and i love it. picked it up off of ebay for 1280 USD about 7 months ago in mint condition with a warranty left. The only thing i did to it was put TG kryonaut on the GPU and CPU when i got it because i do that with all of my laptops when i get them. It dropped the temps over about a month's time around 7 degrees C max during AAA gaming. these stealths don't get enough recognition at all. they are super thin and light and priced very competitively. I slapped a 1TB 970evo m.2 and 1TB 850pro in mine and it screams. my only "catch" is that i personally think 1080p is and should be dead because once you start gaming in 4k at 60+hz, 1080p looks sooooooo bad. i'm a graphics snob, so i will never buy a laptop or anything that doesn't have a 4k panel. i turn eye candy down or off if need be just to be in 4k with higher FPS. i do have to go QHD on my stealth sometimes if push comes to shove, but if they offer this with a 4k panel and the 2080 maxQ, i will consider trading up for my gaming on the go. (for the debaters on 1080P vs 4K): i play FPS (warzone, battlefront 2, doom eternal, etc. etc.), and i have no problems in multiplayer and doing well online with 60hz in 4k on my desktops against other PC users and crossplay. sure, linus made a video showing that "professional gamers" prefer the 144hz+ screens compared to 60hz, but real world, no issues. i have a 70" vizio P hooked to one of my desktops and it does 120hz in 1080P out of 4k and the only thing i get out of it, is i have to turn my mouse sensitivity down a little bit with the higher refresh rate... another thing i will say about the stealth, is that the Max Q design really reduces power draw and temps but they REALLY reduce performance. my 1070 max Q performs like a desktop 1060(and less in some cases) and this 2070 maxQ is no exception. it will perform like a 2060 or even less, so you won't be hitting 300hz in really anything. to compare: my firestrike score on my main desktop (7700k @4.9, 1080ti FTW3 @ +50 core(2022mhz), 16GB 3400mhz CL15) floats right under 23,000 (7291 firestrike ultra best which beats 3dmark's newly released scores with a 9900k and RTX 2080 by ~600points) and it wouldn't even be able to do 300hz in 1080p in most if not all AAA titles with eye candy maxed out (and some turned down). That is just a heads up on the real world performance here. A 16500 in firestrike is the exact equivalent of a non OC 9700k paired with a desktop GTX1080(non Ti) for more comparison which is pretty awesome for a laptop! But, my point is, the panel is extreme overkill for the hardware inside of the GS66 specified in this video. They are all very nice and i love them and as long as you don't expect performance anywhere close to your gaming desktops at home, you will love the stealths too for gaming when you are mobile. nice video.

This machine is MSI's answer to the Blade. And with a standard 2 year warranty and msi support when compared to razers 12 month warranty and terrible support this unit may do well. Time will tell with overall build quality. One of the things that bugged a lot of people about the GS65 was the quality of the hinges. However, it looks like MSI have put a lot of work into improving the overall build quality if this unit so far.

i have gs75 stealth 10sfs, the keyboard is not as normal keyboard, there is more space between buttons that usual so you will do alot of mistyping because of the keyboard , also the mouse pad is very wide , and somehow i feel my old asus is faster when booting and start up also no gaming the fan is very quiet, but if it run hard it will be very loud more than asus, and the keyboard area is cold all time. material is good even if its plastic, but i wanted to buy asus rog scar 2020 10th gen but it got delayed so i bought this. i dont like the keyboad, fast is very load if run high, i feel like android is msi and apple is asus its high performance but somehow i feel asus would be faster and better if same spec.

Does anyone know if there's a displayport through USB c connected directly to the Nvidia GPU? I ask because it's a requirement for newer vr headsets
@richardkavuma74294 жыл бұрын
Downquark7 if I am correct, the thunderbolt 3 is connected to the igpu (integrated gpu)
@richardkavuma74294 жыл бұрын

Yes everyone can repaste their own laptop, however, make sure don't cause any damage to the laptop.

@null83104 жыл бұрын
Vladimir Xxxx Tally ho tech did explain this, something about the amd chips having less lanes than the intel chips, which bottlenecks the gpu, which is why the ryzen is paired up to a rtx 2060... I might have explained it wrong tho.
