For those who will buy it in the near future, it will be written on the processor cover only LGA 1700, this is normal, it’s just that the video and photos on the Internet have revision 4.0, now it’s 4.1 or newer

The one header wasn’t for RGB ( JTBT1 ) that one is for supporting Thunderbolt 4. They sell the card 30$-50 depending on the day and sale. You have plug a cable that comes with it into that one for it to work. It works great and for $30 on sale you can’t beat the deal.

@@Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM Your welcome buddy. You have to apologize at all. I wanted to make sure you knew though. Keep an eye out on future MB’s. Many of the brands only allow their own Thunderbolt Cards to work on their boards. MSI is one that had the cheapest costing TB4 card compared to many others. I think I saw a ASUS TB4 card cost around $200+ with the same features as MSI. Keep up the good videos too !

This is currently on sale on the US MSI webstore for $169.99 and it's well worth it! I bought mine for the same price at Amazon and I've had no issues at all. Also the First M.2 slot (connected to the cpu) is only pcie 4.0 x4 which is fine for me. It's the pcie x16 slot that is 5.0 which is great for the future.

Great content Dennis. Just a small correction, this motherboard only supports PCIE 4.0 for the M2 slots. It's the newer Z790 Tomahawk Max that supports 1x Gen5 NVME in the main storage slot. Easily missed.

I think this is for 14th gen intel also ? I plan to buy an 14700K and was thinking this board. Is it good ? Edit: I read now that they support 14th gen intel, but you need a new card that has been flashed lately for it to work. Anyway i was thinking ddr5 version of the motherboard. Do you still use it ?

No afraid not, it does not support RAID 0 for NVMe drives. It lacks RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10 support for NVMe SSD storage devices on this Motherboard.

Great video, I watched your videos to help me with my first build. Me too got the same MOBO but has some problems. which is better; 14900k ( Used 485€) vs 13900k (New 540€, Used 515€)? I got used everything used (Amazon like new): CPU (14900k): MOBO MSI Mag tomahawk 790 ddr5(205€), One Stick 32ddr5. Issue with the Nobod Red led ez debug CPU in the MOBO . After 2 days couldn't figure out the problem, I noticed 2 bent socket pins -> Sent the mobod back. Any advice? P.s. I just need a good cpu for now, I don't have GPU, soon I will get the second ram stick, then GPU

This MB works with 12th and 13th Gen, not compatible with 14th Gen. I'd go with the 13900K as its proven to be really reliable and works great for all tasks tested with it. I'd go with two Memory Sticks because it runs in dual channel and so would perform better that way. Yeah with bent pins it will cause intermittent problems as well if it even worked to start with. So good call returning it. Have a good day, hopefully your build will go well after.

Some people are having trouble getting it this motherboard on using 1) 8 pin with a 13600k. The manual says to plug both in. Report back if you can if yours works with just 1 if you get a chance.

Usually the extra is for OCing, I am using just the one 8 Pin and everything is working, it needs to be the one on the right side though, maybe that's the difference, not sure.

yet theres a reason not all motherboard makers include a usb stick as it can be suspected of containing viruses even if it dont

I agree, but I've already checked it out and it includes an ISO that can be used. I ran my Virus scanner on it so in this instance I'm confident its okay. Thanks
