In your opinion, but that's absolutely fine. Cases are probably the most personal aesthetic choice you'll make with your computer. I'm not saying it looks bad, just a bit bland. If they'd made the side window with triangular covers in the top left and bottom right to make a parallelogram that met up with and reflected the front, it would be more interesting and unique.

@@danielbyerly1772 Absolutely 100% bullshit statement. Have absolutely no bias what so ever. In my very first review for the channel I compared a £100 be quiet aio to £350 worth of Corsair custom loop and the aio performed better! (All be it with a 360 rad Vs a 240 rad on the custom loop) The case was genuinely shit. If you look at other comments I have given people a wide range of cases as alternatives and said this was worse than a £60 silentiumpc case I reviewed, because it is. It's garbage. Go look at any MSI case review on gamers nexus and you'll see the same thing.

@@petertremblay3725 I was harsh because the design is crap and it costs twice as much as it should for the quality of materials and performance. In all my reviews I will point out all the flaws and niggles because those are the kinds of things that can really affect how you feel about a case once you've finished a build. Even for the Corsair case I reviewed on this channel I was critical of many points, because when you're spending £350 on a case it better dam we'll be perfect! lol

I don't know I don't think $120 is too unreasonable for this case considering it comes with a USB type-c Gen 2 connector. Most cases these days still only come with a gen-one connector end.

because the build quality is poor. The materials are cheap, thin and flimsy. If i took the MSI badge off you would think it was from a small unknown budget brand. I reviewed a £60 Silentium PC case that had similar build quality. Most £80-100 cases rom other manufacturers are of a superior design and build quality.

I just bought one yesterday and love it.... cable management is a breeze. Vertical GPU mount included is great and zero problems with glass hinges or cosmetics at all. I do agree that the front fan placement from the factory needs to be moved/mounted further away from the front glass & a simple fix but other than a minor inconvenience and moving them.....I love my case

It's not "a bad case", more that I thought the build quality didn't match the price, in my opinion. If you love yours, that's great, I'm glad you do. If everyone had the same opinion life would be incredibly boring.

@@MakinComputers Thanks for the reply & agree life would be boring 🙂 In the States there down to the $100 new range but still on the pricey side considering the quality....agree especially more so now because over the weekend I added a 3.5 2tb HHD utilizing the tray provided and I do agree with your review...it's very flimsy and made super cheap. Iit works and gets the job done. Love the honest reviews keep up the good work.

@@19Blackskills97 it isn't the best system. You have to install the vertical bracket before you put the motherboard in. If you've already got the motherboard in and hook up to all the wires, you can just remove the the screws securing the motherboard and move it to the side while you install the bracket.

The USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C (20Gbps) port in the front I/O is kinda rare though! (At least at the moment) Other cases in the market have USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10Gbps) ports... But that might not be a good reason to pay 150 USD for this case, maybe not good enough.

I'm thinking of buying this case but does anyone know what the airflow is like with the front three fans? does the tempered glass panel at the front restrict airflow at all or do the side vents provide enough airflow? I've read alot of good reviews but a couple of people said that their PC overheated a lot. I'm wondering if I should get a CPU radiator to add up top if I buy a case like this

It's a while since the review so can't recall exactly, but I think there should be a cable from the hub that you can plug into the motherboard for control though software.

hi there sir, I have a question for you if you don't mind? I have this same exact case and i haven't really had any problems with it in the past. my question is now that i have a rtx4080 in it. it seems to get quite hot when fully utilizing the gpu and cpu in heavy games like the Witcher 3 with 4k ultra and ray traced effects, do you think if i buy the 100p version of this case which has the vented front instead of the glass front that it would make it better and be able to breath more efficiently? could the fact it has the glass front instead of the vented front be holding my system back for being able to breath better the best that it can? also, i have one more question. in the specs sheet it says that the vertical gpu mount is compatible with a riser 3.0 cable and i never notice that it stated that in the specs before and i have a 4.0 riser cable connected to the vertical mount, do you think my rtx4080 would be running on the 4.0 or the 3.0 if the gpu mount is meant for a 3.0 cable? or is there a way to check to see. any help would be appreciated, i have the 100r case but am thinking about either buying a new different case or buying the 100p version which has the vented front panel.

Yes I used a gigabyte board. Sadly for you the gigabyte RGB software is a bit lacking and the case is dire.

Interesting to see how in your case the panel didn't come off the hinges too easy and the case being unstable. I have watched a couple of reviews on this case and all of them seemed to be stable and easy to remove panels. Hopefully not a sign of some cases done by MSI now and then being wonky

do you guys at bittech know anything about using antifreeze as pc coolant? Im looking for a cheap alternative to the pc coolants as my build requires a gallon of fluid and that becomes expensive with coolant changes

you can buy concentrated anti-corrosion and groeth inhibitors to use with any distilled water. I wouldn't risk using a random homemade solution, I'd use something specifically designed for pc watercooling. It will last longer and you don't run the risk of damaging your blocks or rads. I also rarely change coolant unless I have to drain my loop for an upgrade. as long as there are no problems, leave the coolant alone. don't buy into the myth that it needs changing every 6 months or whatever. I've had coolants last for years because i don't mess with them. put it in and leave it alone.

@@MakinComputers Those arent compatible with nickel plating. It was the first thing i looked into and then when i got my gpu all blocks for it were nickel plated.

@@kommandokodiak6025 That's exactly what the corrosion inhibitor is for, to stop the nickel, brass and copper you'd find in the loop reacting with each other and why I'd strongly recommend using a proper coolant from either mayhems, corsair (also made by mayhems) or EK. They're specifically designed to stop the metals reacting with each other. I've had mayhems pastels and ek clear coolants and had them in a loop for up to 3 years undisturbed, with no ill effects to the components. Use a quality coolant and the extra you spend on that is well worth the piece of mind that they're protecting the £400 worth of watercooling components they run through. If you're worried about things like staining or opaque coolant fallout or clumping, then use a clear coolant. If you get mayhems concentrates, they cost about the same as 1ltr of premix, but will make up to 30ltrs of coolant. Mayhems Water Cooling Systems Inhibitor + and Hades + 15ml: mayhems.store/may_b2c/mayhems-water-cooling-systems-inhibitor-and-hades-15ml.html

The MSI MAG riser cable would fit, but it's only pcie 3. Shouldn't cause much in the way of a performance deficit, but some motherboards get tetchy about it. You'd have to put the GPU into the motherboard directly, manually set the pcie slot to gen 3, then instal the riser.

You made the right call cancelling it. There's plenty of cases with usb c in the front io now. H510 flow, 4000d, meshify 2 and the compact, TT Divider are all built really well, have great cooling and cost the same if not less.
