So whereas back in the day if I had read that name in a magazine and then wondered into a shop I would have no chance of remember it but because we live online now I'll watch a video like this or read a review online, there will almost always be affiliate links if you are instantly ready to buy right away or you copy and search the name for more reviews or better prices in Google. Great review! At this point, it seems everyone who's building their PC is eyeing for the 1440p/144fps sweet spot and this monitor seems to be a good contender. Although, most of the people who choose to play competitively would probably lean towards the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio offerings. On that note, I would like to make a related video suggestion, sorry for being off-topic. Perhaps you could benchmark all the moderately taxing and popular esports/multiplayer titles like Battlefield V, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Apex Legends, PUBG, Overwatch, etc. with GPUs on the market currently at Ultra/Competitive(e.g. No shadows/AO) settings at 1440p. I think that could help people a lot while deciding specs.

Hi, did you see the brightness and colour variations that occur when you are running at different refresh rates? Freesync/Gsync and highly variable refresh rates (especially at LFC doubling and tripling thresholds) causes a lot of flickering. @@abdulrhmanmutiri1141 the best you'll get is to get the game running at a fixed fps, typically by lowering graphics settings and using a fps capper like riva tuner. Kinegos IPS, LG support and honestly I’ve had my eye on the LG for so long that the $849 (now $929 :( ) price just drove me to jump on it, specially since it was available now

I'll never understand why PC monitors are so much more expensive per inch compared with TVs. I bought my 4K TV for $1400 that is 55" HDR, and bezzelless.

Only $899!!! I just wet my pants! Actually, I have an MSI Optix AG32C, a 1080p monitor that does 165Hz and currently sells for $250 at Micro Center, I just checked. I know snobs look down upon 1080p, however, how many people play games on anything more than 1080p? ~ 4.5% at 1440p and ~ .5% at 4K. Just park the 1080p 31.5 inch monitor over 2 feet from your face and you will be fine.

@Tim thanks for a great review.... In future monitor reviews would it be possible to include minimum brightness level. I recently had to return a Acer Nitro XV272UPb which was great for gaming but as I do a lot of spreadsheet work the lowest setting at around 80cd/m2 was just too bright especially in the evening. Also around 60cd/m2 is ideal to match what you see on the screen to what a photo looks like in print, so this made the Acer not idea for multi purpose work loads.

Can you please review the Samsung C24FG73 quantum dot 144hz monitor? I’m interested in a 144hz Monitor with good picture quality and decent response times and this one seems pretty good all around (based on specs) Would be nice if you reviewed it!

if you play fast paced games, stay away from va. regardless of refresh rate. trust me. returned 3 different va pc monitors wiht 144 hz. all have the same blur, smearing and latency issues.

there is also the Dell AW3418DW which uses the same IPS panel from LG. However it is limited to 120hz. I would really like to compare it vs this MSI VA monitor as I absoluely love everything about my aw3418dw except the black levels.

I don't see what's exciting about this monitor it's an old technology in VA, with nothing new other than extras stapled on to increase its apparent value without addressing the fundamental problems with the panel technology. I really wish more investment would be put into pushing forward new display paradigms like emissive pixel technologies like QDEL or whatever, rather than continuing to repackage and rebrand and remarket and resell obsolete backlit-LED crap.

just add the cost for a 2080TI to get 144FPS and high details at that resolution...
@wunzeptepwun61755 жыл бұрын
Compare that to Asus' PG35vq... which costs more than the MSI one (costs more than the ultrawide + whichever 2080 ti model you want)... and you might want another one for another 2080 Ti as well. I'd say compared to that, this is more affordable.
