Tee ShK I don’t play competitive games very often plus I’m only using this monitor on a rx580 so no pushing loads of FPS, but with this monitor on fastest setting I haven’t had any ghosting but you do sacrifice some brightness when set to the 1ms refresh rate

paolo mancini I don’t play competitive games very often and leave the monitor on fast mode, I haven’t experienced any noticeable delay. It is still playable on the fastest setting but I find it better on fast. I use this monitor with an RX580 so never going to get crazy FPS anyway. But if I was using it on a better GPU I would definitely want at least 2k monitor. What hardware you planning on using this monitor with?

Well still deciding my gpu... if im going for a 144hz i think i might get a vega 54 or a 1660 ti, to actually reach a good frame rate. I do play competitive games thats why im bit concerned. I dont know about 2k monitor; i really need a 24'' monitor since a bigger one would be hard to play for me, and the only good 2k 24" monitor on the market is the agon AOC which is 350€ atm, so a bit too much i guess.

paolo mancini this monitor does have free sync so if you went with the vega you could take advantage of that. I will try it out today on the fastest setting see if I would be happy to keep it on that setting for extended periods and get back to you. Ether way for the money I think you would be happy with this monitor, like you say if you want better res and other features you have to be willing to part with a lot more cash!

@@MattsTopTech Hey bro, I play competitively csgo and fortnite on this monitor. I use fastest in both and leave freesync off for csgo and on for fortnite. Don't waste your time trying to make your own settings, some dude on reddit already found the best. This monitor is great. Go for 240hz if you're serious about csgo( I mean trying to become semi-pro ) and never plan on watching TV/movies, which are great on this monitor because it has a cinema mode with hdrc. If there are no hackers in my game, I dominate in csgo and fortnite is slightly RNG shit, but I am too invested. I would say leave fastest and freesync on until you feel the need for extra speed, then turn freesync off. There's a lot of misinformation about freesync, trust AMD Robert, use freesync with uncapped fps. Use freesync on fortnite, the game engine is trash and freesync off feels faster but movement is jittery as fuck, use freesync on fortnite and don't use it for csgo as it does not have this issue.

Schwitzxc not had any issues with blurry text but the screen is only 1080p so it’s not as sharp as 2k/4K

@@mik6322 I bought the MSI Optix G27C4 and the screen quality,ghosting is absolutely terrible. I gave it a week trying out different settings,calibrating over and over but nothing made it better. Text especially when scrolling is an eyesore ( heavy corona effect around text ),i got serious eyestrain from this monitor and ive send it back. Im going for a BenQ Zowie. You might want to head over to the MSI forum and check some posts out in the monitor section before you buy any of their monitors,its full of complaints about all different types of models they have. Lots of issues about ghosting/motion blur, text unreadable etc. It seems that most of their models all suffer from the same kind of issues. "1 ms Anti motion blur Gaming monitors" Lmao my non gaming monitor from 2011 has a better picture quality and less ghosting going on,it's quite sad how they sell these as Gaming monitors. From my experience theyre absolute rubbish.

It’s just a standard mounting on the back so you should be able to mount it. And yeah this monitor only has freesync

FJAD17 a few people have been asking the same thing! When I was trying the monitors out the AOC was the one I nearly went for. The monitors are very similar to look at, the prices are similar, I went for this as I wasn’t bothered about built in speakers and I liked the headset stand on this monitor. That’s all that really set them apart. All I’d say is if you can up the budget go for a 2k monitor I think 1080p is well dated if you can’t I’m sure you would be happy with ether the MSI or AOC. So my GPU is pretty old now, but it still serves its purpose for games that I play, at a high FPS (Radeon HD 7870). Do you know if this monitor will perform at its best with my GPU? And I don't remember my HDMI ever working with any monitor I had before, so does that mean I could get a Display Port adaptor to VGA? I also don't think DVI is working on my pc, I might be wrong, but I remember having issues setting any other port up other than VGA. Any help would be appreciated, I definitely need an upgrade from this temporary 60hz 5ms monitor that I got after my old better one died!

Asiyx unfortunately if you are limited to the vga from your graphics card because you don’t think any of the other ports work you will not be able to take advantage of the full performance of this monitor, that said an adapter would work but will be limited to the connection you use in terms of refresh rate. DP connection is recommended to get the best performance. Have you considered upgrading your GPU? You could get a 1060 or a RX570 or 580 for a good price now then you could take advantage of a new monitor and get some improved performance

the monitor comes with a high speed HDMI cord. I used it and got 144hz but....... I feel like there's some choppiness on the display. Minimizing and maximizing windows aren't smooth and when I used TestUFO, it only shows about 90+fps max. I'm using a gaming laptop btw. So I'm guessing DPort would be better.

DOWNVOTED- no mention of its broken gamma colors? look it up- it comes with a manufacture fault by MSI and the only way to fix it is "send it for free reflashing to MSI" . Now in regular mode this monitor is 4ms but it has an option where u set it in "game mode" and it breaks the gamma showing greens as grey and dimming the screen "anti-motion blur" LOL. Not going with MSI monitor again, at least not the cheaper ones like this one.

Edward Gaming 🤔 tricky one!!! I think the AOC comes with speakers built in which would be useful if you dont have any as this model from MSI doesn’t, the headset stand and menu controls on the MSI are a good feature to go for this monitor. Other than that there isn’t anything in them

Hope that you didn’t buy the monitor yet. You can't beneficiate 144Hz refresh rate because the PS4 doesn’t support it. If you want to have 144Hz you need Displayport and the PS4 doesn’t have that.
