Hi I wanted to ask. When installing the new thermal pads. Why did you use two different versions? Also, what thickness were they? since the links in your description show 1.5mm thermal pads but in the video you show when measuring them that they are 1mm thickness? Oh and did you add new thermal pads to the screw in heatsinks too. Were they 1mm thickness too? I'm confused as to which ones I should buy or does it not matter?
@TakeThatScrewOut
@TakeThatScrewOut Жыл бұрын
Hi bro! sorry for the confusion regarding on my videos..all the links on the Description are only reference only for parts and tools related to whats in the video..but not necessarily exactly the same on what's in the video. Whatever measurements you see in the video is the ACTUAL THICKNESS based on my personal observation about the materials. And regarding the two different color of pads i've used, that would happened sometimes on my tutorial videos due to sometimes the pads that i've used run out and not enough for the whole areas to cover, so i've used other brand of Pads whatever is available during the Tutorial, that's the reason sometimes they have different color but they are exactly the same thickness for sure only the Brand and color is different..hehehe! Thanks for your comment bro! appreciated!

I'm going to remove the black plastic shroud with the fans because they're so loud, especially at around 60% fan speed and above, and replace them with two regular 120mm fans (via an adapter I already used on a different GPU). Could you tell me which of the two black and white connectors is the fan controller and which is for the light?

That case is brillant performer..if possible to fill all the Fan slot available, do it mate! And if you want your GPU to perform its best, never go for VERTICAL POSITION and use a PCIe ext. cable..Direct contact to the PCIe GPU & MOBO is the best., and if your Case allow..Use three 120mm or two 140mm INTAKE from the buttom of the case UPWARDS cause Heat direction normally goes Upwards direction. And the TOP FAN SHOULD BE EXHAUST. that make a big difference.

hey! so i was planning on painting this GPU shroud and backplate white, but i have never disassembled a GPU before and i'm nervous about it do you think its possible to remove the backplate from the PCB without having to replace the thermal pads or repasting the GPU die? i'm worried that when i take off the heatpipes from the PCB, that the thermal pads will end up ripping off and i would have to replace them repasting the GPU isn't that big of a deal, but having to cut out the thermal pads in the right shape for each memory module seems a bit annoying
@TakeThatScrewOut
@TakeThatScrewOut Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, you have to remove the Chunky heatsink to access those screws that holds the Plastic backplate. Those screws that holds the VRM's strip heatsink is on the middle part of the pcb..that needs to be remove as well bro so you can fully detach the backplate from the pcb. I know is a bit annoying isn't it! 🙄😔

@TakeThatScrewOut
@TakeThatScrewOut Жыл бұрын
After the repaste, on heavy loads Playing COD Warzone 2.0 for about 2 hours temps fluctuate between 57-65 deg with Lianli Pc-011 Dynamic Midi case with 8 fans..this may vary depends on various factors..case,fans, room temps etc.

@@TakeThatScrewOut How about the Junction Temperature? When you open the Adrenalin software you can see both the GPU and the Junction Temperature.

Why backplate needed to be removed?
@TakeThatScrewOut
@TakeThatScrewOut Жыл бұрын
you don't have to remove the backplate to repaste or change thermal pads..i've just remove it to show whats behind it and if you need to clean the back of the pcb.

@@TakeThatScrewOut There's no light at all on this specific GPU. The two connectors are just for the fans.
