You make it seem easy and your natural talent is off the charts. I have been a musician for 30 years and i rather do originals than anything because around here bands are just a (well another band) and I really enjoy recording alone but this seems so much easier than using all the stuff im using just to make samples or full songs. I have tried other loopers before and they just dont seem to do what i want or they dont sync well. I would love to setup out back and perform alone for some outdoor pool parties we have and thank you for your videos, i have subscribed and will continue watching so keep doing you because you are a badass!!!!

Really a great arrangement. The great thing about the MK2 is that you can bounce multiple tracks onto one
@EmilyMcVicker2 жыл бұрын
Interesting - tell me more! What is the context that you would do that?
@Malteklavier2 жыл бұрын
@@EmilyMcVicker Hello, the function is awesome. For example, you can record four drum tracks and then bounce them together to the fifth track. The function is very hidden, I put bounce on/off on one of the knobs under the display so I can quickly activate and deactivate die. If bounce is activated on the fifth track, it works great. The four tracks can now be deleted and played again. That offers so many more possibilities. Also with singing or instruments. Here is a sample by BreZ he bounces tracks 2-5 at 0:30 onto the first track. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5mcc4eontaEmpo

@@EmilyMcVicker Wicked! I really loved how you mapped out, prior to the performance, what your structure was going to be for each track. I’ve been researching loop pedals and stations for exactly one day so I have very limited knowledge, but you solidified for me that this is the station I want. I’d love to know everything haha but I do have a few specific questions/requests. 1. I’m familiar with the 505’s ability to quantise, keeping bars/measures tight, which I love. Is it able to quantise notes/beats how recording software can? Like if I was beatboxing but got one beat slightly off, could it automatically fix that for the playback? 2. Could you please record a performance with split camera so I can both see what you’re doing with your instruments as well as a first-person view of the loop station? I’d love to analyse the buttons you’re pressing, levers you’re turning etc. in real time. I did see your “Killing Me Softly” video just now - incredible - which was great with the little circles around the buttons when you pressed them. Bird’s eye view would be helpful too, I think. 3. If I’m sending my mic through a vocoder (or any other effect machine), how does that work in connecting it to the 505? Do I plug the mic into the 505 first then send the output through the vocoder or the other way around? Thanks so much for inspiring me to buy this product and get practicing! I can’t wait to try it out!

This might be a random question but I recently bought a Boss rc 505 MK2 and I completely underestimated music technology. How do I connect it to loud speakers? What are the components/cables needed. I would be very grateful for some answers🙏
@EmilyMcVicker Жыл бұрын
You'll want a couple of 1/4" cables. just like the cables you'd use to plug in your guitar. you'll see on the back theres a left and a right one and that is so you can have stereo sound. You'll only really hear the stereo if you've panned anything or using something like tremolo effect. You can do it with one too, it will just be a mono signal. If you have speakers that you gig with, those should have 1/4" inputs in the back, and if not, you could buy an adapter and make it a smaller aux (1/8") jack for now to get you up and running. hope that helps!

an avid fan of Emily'swork... this one is a masterpiece. And the best part is the lovely "cat-producer" (what's his/her name, Emily?) supervising all 😅. GINGER BREADS TO YOU, EMILY

So grateful that you are making these! Could you please share the instructions for getting the start of the loop record to sync with the existing tracks? I'm going crazy trying to figure it out. (E.g. how you press record for the 4th track before playing the keyboard part and it blinks until the measure starts)

Ah yes!!! This is a great question! Thank for asking. I can definitely show 🤘😆

Hey Emily, thank you a lot for this video. Your voice is amazing !!! I have a question about the boss RC-505, did you record directly with the looper ? If yes, how do you do ? Thank you a lot
@EmilyMcVicker Жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the question. In my home set up, I have it so my mic and instruments can be mixed and EQed with my computer DAW, and sent back into the looper. Is that what you’re asking? For a regular gig tho, I plug directly into the looper 👍
