I love the respect in distance Jermaine and his two brothers have. Jermaine loves Jake and Finn equally, but the way he loves and the way they love aren’t incredibly compatible, so they love each other from a distance, in a very healthy, wholesome way. I love the way this show tackles the suuuuuper complex family dynamics that it does, from the dilemma an adopted child has of seeing their estranged parents, to autism and mental illnesses/disorders, to death, forgetting, moving on, and choosing new family. The way it presents unconventional family systems is fucking brilliant, and I hope it’s helped more people than just be become more comfortable with disturbing the norm when it comes to your tribe.

Jake was up in the dead worlds for upwards of 70 years, there’s a lot of evidence he died not long after the main series ended. Ie; in the flashback Jake and Finn are still young, Finn appears young in the dead worlds while looking for Jake because ‘it’s recognizable’ presumably to Jake ofc. And lastly spoilers for the new series but by the time Finn is an adult (looks to be ~20-30?) Jake is already dead. It really adds a new layer to what Finn went through, saying he was really just waiting to die so he could see Jake again. It also shows why Jake kind of forgot about Finn (although it could have been he was just in a state of pure peace in the fiftieth), it was because he hasn’t seen Finn in 70 years. It’s like asking a at that point a 90 year old person who their childhood friend was, his memory would of course be a little rusty.

Adventure Time is one of my top 2 favorite shows of all time. It's not just the best CN shows of all time, its thr the best show/cartoon in general. I grew up with Adventure Time. I was 6 when it aired and 14 when it ended and 16/17 for Distant Lands. I miss Adventure Time so much. I still rewatch Adventure Time from time to time though. I also miss Finn and Jake. Hopefully Finn and Jake will make appearances in the next spin off series with Fiona and Cake and maybe even meet Fiona and Cake too.

Adventure Time is awesome. I was 14 when it premiered and have been a fan since 2015. I haven’t really watched it much since 2017 but Adventure Time will always be there.

I have. I first watched an episode in like 2011 and didn’t have much of an opinion on this show. I later grew to like it in 2016 and haven’t seen much since 2017. What I would do to relive those days again.

Okay, but how could you have a compilation about ripping out your heart, and not include the moment where Skeleton Finn goes "JAKE!... I need you..."

Im so glad we get to see more with Fiona & Cake. It’s AMAZING so far I haven’t anticipated a show this much in years (aside from Invincible and My Adventures with Superman)
