Moulin Rouge & Marie Antoinette. Brimming with extravagant pieces equally accessorised by their cinematography.
@sarasamaletdin45746 жыл бұрын
I would have understood if they left out period pieces but since Great Gasby’s dresses aren’t exactky what you could wear period pieces should be here. And Serious Man either has terrible clips or shouldn’t be on the list.

chimchim of busan I mean... Manolo Blahnik designed shoes for the movie... It literally doesn’t get better than that. The whole movie tells a story through fashion and there’s not a single look that is not well thought out and to have a point. It’s also one of my favorite movies.

Glenn Close's Cruella De Vil should've been on this list, whether it's from 101 or 102 Dalmations doesn't matter. Sure, stylistically, Cruella is the only character to actually exceed at it, but it should've counted for something. 102 Dalmations even had an Oscar nomination for it's costumes.

Great choices says this retired NYC fashion illustrator and former student of the history of costume, but there are so many wonderfully stylish movies to pick from! Where does one begin? The Golden Age of Hollywood in the 1920s, and esp the 30s and 40s is the place to start! Many fashions are still in vogue today like spaghetti strapped and backless gowns first created by British costume designer Dolly Tree in the 30s! Add to this Dr. Zhivago in the 60s which spear headed the "Russian look" in the fashion world. Also many more styles from the iconic Audrey Hepburn not only in the 1950s, but esp in the 60s so add "Two for the Road " with Audrey as well. Don't forget the late beautiful Grace Kelly aka Princess Grace in " To Catch A Thief"!! It's endless! lol Thanks for sharing~
