I doubt it’s scammers. There are thousands of scammers on EVERY app these days anyhow. FYI I doubt the world is gonna live with or without Tiktok because to be honest with you, I used Tiktok and I hardly ever got any attention from the app. I think the big thing is celebrities who use the app let alone people who got famous because of the app. Is the world gonna die over a app you make dance videos on gets banned? I doubt it. But lots of teens and even preteens use the app or have their parents allowed to use the app so but they need to suck it up, move on and if it does get banned, deal with it.

My family are music lovers so I grew up around a lot of different genres of music. I played outside a lot & went to the library a lot to read. This is very interesting. I think a lot of people aren't questioning HOW they would write and possibly pass this law. And would this law then be able to be applied to other foreign apps, foreign news and media outlets in the future, citing them as "could manipulate information users see on the platform and use data collected from Americans for nefarious purposes. Under 'foreign' ownership could use information gathered on American teenagers to blackmail them or turn them into spies in the future who could go to work for the national security agencies or the military'. How will they draw the line? Very interesting to see how this will be worked out.

The real issue is that these self-appointed “parents” (Congress, the Biden Administration, and the Supreme Court) have no idea how to address the data privacy challenges of the digital age.
