Apparently there is hours upon hours of Williams doing the genies voice that they could have and still could release another complete version of the movie and it be all unique lines. This wasn’t isolated to Aladdin but apparently something he did on a lot of his work and rumors are there are also enough outtakes and unused footage they could re-release ms doubtfire and it have a R rating from Williams lines alone. The studios don’t need to horde those gems of his that they didn’t use and let us see it all.

As hilarious as Robin Williams was and could be; he was also a fantastic actor when it came to more dramatic roles. "Patch Adams", "What Dreams May Come", "Awakenings", and "Bicentennial Man". He knew when to keep it serious. To this day, though - my favorite movie has to be, "Hook". I don't think anyone else could have portrayed the child-like innocence that he needed to become the Pan once more (not to be confused with childishness). While he lived, he made the world laugh. RIP Robin Williams, the world is a bit sadder without you here.

I loved Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, and Awakinings also starring Robert De Nero a movie where Robin played a doctor who was trying find a cure for people who are caught in a sleep cycle and never awaken. I never realized that the shaky camera in that scene of Good Will Hunting was the result of the camera man laughing. It is truly heartbreaking that I watched Robin Williams to help me through hard times because I suffered from depression only to learn that he did as well. The most amazing thing about Robin wasn’t that he was so incredibly funny, or that his humor stemmed from a lot of pain and mental health issues. It was that no matter how he was doing personally, he always, always had empathy and kindness for everyone around him. When he died, there were thousands of those stories. How he’d spared a moment to cheer someone or empathize with them while making them laugh. That, right there, is how you live a life.

The first time I saw Robin Williams was around 1970. I was 18 and had just moved away from home and was living in San Francisco near Geary and Powell Sts. My apt. was on the next block down from The Westin St. Francis Hotel at Union Square across from the park. Robin would come everyday to the park and do pantomime all day and all over the park. He would mime people and follow them down the block causing hysteria and drawing huge crowds from the people shopping at Macy’s, Saks Fifth Ave., Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, etc. Smart guy. He knew that when these people would drop money into his hat that it would be bills and not change.😊 This was BEFORE he got any nightclub standup gigs in SF. and then LA. He was simply a BORN COMIC GENIUS! 😢 So sad he couldn’t make himself laugh.
