Coming from someone who is 9 years younger than you.. 21 actually I have two friends who are still virgins... One is 24 and the other is 26... I lost mine at 19 two years ago to my ex who actually forced me and he wasn't gentle at all... Thanks for being so transparent! I got married at 25 years old and my husband and I BOTH were virgins! The struggle was real but not impossible. The greatest thing about honoring God with your body is that He will honor your covenant with your spouse. There is no one else to compare yourself to in the bedroom and there is no need to rush it. You can take your time and get to know the other person (your spouse) and really understand being intimate. There is a security in knowing that this person isn't going to leave once he gets the "goods". We've been married for 5 months now, and because we were virgins there is still a lot of things we're trying to figure out. But it's all good because we're learning together. I was in high school and this girl I had never met was telling me that my boyfriend was trying to have sex with her. My heart crushed inside of my chest because I knew she was not lying. I remember questioning my worth. "Maybe I should have just did it. Maybe I should have gave him my all." When I was 12 years old, my middle school best friend invited me to join her in a program her church was hosting called Passion for Purity. The program consisted of a ceremony where young women made a commitment to stay sexually abstinent until marriage. We took classes that were taught in the previous weeks before the final ceremony. At the ceremony my mother placed purity ring on my finger as I made this commitment before God. Throughout High School I kept this promise to God. Even in my sin and my past relationships, I kept this promise to God and he kept me along the way. It was not easy and when I look back I am reminded of the times God kept me. I am reminded of the times I questioned if this choice was worth it. I’m sharing this because I was only 12 years old when I made this commitment. That’s very young, but I am so thankful to My best friend for allowing God to use them to save me. To save me from the world’s standards of sex. I don’t remember any specific details that were taught in those classes because I was so young, but whatever was taught it planted a seed of worth inside of me. A worth that would be tested. A worth that would only be found in the hands of God! It is our duty as women of God to find our value in Christ and to teach young girls the same! For me I am a 31 year old male and I am a virgin as well. I speak out about who I am when the convo comes up with family or friends and sometimes associates because I'm proud of who I am regardless of those who see me differently. I also speak on this so those people who can relate or those few who may be in denial, (or lie) can know that they can be honest about themselves and not feel uncomfortable about who they are and that they can be proud of themselves and not feel ashamed. I'm not perfect I do fall short when it' comes to the mind (Fantasizing) but I know that with GOD on my side that he can remove and will remove all of the unholy things away from me that I no longer want a part of in my life. The reason for my virginity has many layers. The first part of my years in life I just was totally not focused on sex at all; I struggled with depression & anxiety so my mind was entirely somewhere else. I also suffered from insecurity regarding my body & just the whole intimate exchange of sex. I also felt like sex should be reserved for that “special guy.” I just believe it’s very sacred. I'm 16 Turing 17 in June and from a young age I remember wanting a boyfriend. All my friends had boyfriends and I was the only one who didn't I used to hate myself thinking I was ugly and to skinny I hated my body and everything about myself. Then one day my best friend had sex for the first time and everyone else did in high school and that it was "normal". I wanted to be someone's girl badly. Then one day God spoke to me and I made a choice and to save myself for marriage not for me but for God. I want God to be proud of me that I saved my self for the one he choose for me. I trust him with everything because life on earth is short and I want to do Gods will and put him first with everything I do in life. Then I prayed to God and I asked him Lord if you want me to save my first kiss for marriage please send me a sign. The very next day I opened to KZbin and I saw a video on my recommendations a couple who hadn't kiss in 3 years. I clicked on the video and the message they were saying reached to me they said they wanted to put God first so they both made a choice to not kiss till they got married because they wanted to save it for when they became one. And I cried and I told God I will and I am happy with the decision God gave me ❤✝️ to younger girls out there or older girls everyone says sex is normal that we're human. Let me tell you sex can sometimes bring diseases,heartbreak guys/girls using you thats what it offers don't fall to what the world brings. Do Gods will save yourself for marriage❤ God bless ✝️

Thank you so much for this. I'm always the rare one out of the bunch and its hurtful when other women look at me like "Why?" I'm 25 and chose to be a virgin because I want to be a woman that makes her own decisions and not allow society to make them for me. What a lot of people don't say is how much they were pressured their first time and how they wish they could have a do-over. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about things that pertain to sex. I have a job, grad school, and I volunteer sex is not even on my mind.

Virgins are the true unicorns. 😂😂 I waited until I met the love of my life at age 34. It was totally worth it because I was able to stay focused on my life and discovering who I was as an individual without any added drama that a sexual relationship can sometimes bring. I was raised to believe my body is a temple and to honor it as such. Good for you being your own person and not giving in to the pressures society sometimes puts on women sexually.
