It's a bit blurry but if i remember there was a U.S. regulation/act/law established during world war two, which allowed press to criticize the government, but prohibited lies and information that could endanger national security, under penalty of withdrawal of authorisation to publish/broadcast. I am a South African just speaking for myself. Donald Trump cannot construct a coherent sentence, although he says he has the best words. He cannot arrange those best words to say something that is true and that is understandable. He will get some good grammar lessons from Judge Merchan . The Judge will construct a sentence for Trump that he will understand that will hopefully be a long sentence with many words including the words prison, and years.

Trump has been convicted and is due to be sentenced on July 11. Depending on the sentence Trump may or not be available to receive the Republican Party nomination at their Convention in Milwaukee. There is no positive incentive for the Supreme Court to intervene at this time with the conviction and sentencing.
