As promising as this all sounds, it doesn't change the fact that this matter is going to either stall before the election, and find it's way back to the Supreme Court (where the corrupt Conservative majority will once again create their own interpretation of the law to allow Trump to walk free). Trump knows that he has a favorable set of Justices, ones who don't care what the public thinks of them, and certainly won't be challenged by anything that Merrick Garland is in charge of. Despite there being several examples of corrupt behavior by members of the Supreme Court, Garland and the DoJ have shown zero inclination to pursue any investigations and indictments against those who stand accused. Garland as Attorney-General has only succeeded in going after those at the lowest levels in the Capitol riots. And whilst there have been some charges against people such as Mark Meadows, Jeffrey Clarke, and a few other close associates of Trumps, how many Republican members have been completely overlooked for the parts they played in those events?
