Zelenskyy is probably one of the only world leaders willing to go out of his way to help his country. He is probably one of the bravest leaders especially for only being 45. He could’ve made peace with Russia, but chose to stand and fight for his country’s freedom. Also he learned English so it shows he went out of his way to ask for help. We must help Ukraine!!

He wanted to make peace when he was elected in 2019, but the far right pressured him out of it. Soon after Russia invaded, he and Putin were negotiating peace. Boris Johnson flew into Kiev and told him not negotiate an end to the war, but to keep fighting. I think he means well, but he has been controlled by outside interests ever since he was elected.

As someone who wasn't born in the US and whose first language wasn't English.... Yes, the US *does* deserve respect. We have all faced some rough times, and hate and anger is definitely in an upswing, true.. Most American people are *still* the kind people willing to go the extra mile to help someone though.. Bad times don't erase that. We are never just one part of history or another. Terrible things have been done.. but also very good things that has brought hope to people.. We can chose in our time what we accent.. what we add.. but the past doesn't disappear. The good and the bad.. Most American people are good, kind people. The people who are not in the majority. Don't let them write the story.. don't give up.. and I hope you get to see yourselves to the eyes of someone like me. I came from Northern Europe. Hardly a "bad" country. I met my husband and fell in love.. I have seen the hard parts of American society and politics.. but I see it's kindness every day.. Even a few weeds can make a rose garden look unkempt.. but they are only a few weeds.. in a garden, over time, it's to be expected some will pop up.. Question is.. do we allow them to grow and take over the garden? ❤️

Any country would be honored to have such a brave and selfless leader. He was also very smart to come right now to the US, before the holidays. Great to see two strong women representing the leadership of this country.
