I wouldn’t panic too much, but I do think that there could be some harassment, deportation and even violence towards Latino appearing people, regardless of legal status, because that’s what happened in AZ when they did mass deportation. Their “efforts” were based on profiling. People were required to show proof of citizenship on the spot and if not they could be deported. My brother’s friend was held for three hours in the back of a cop car because she didn’t bring her ID with her to the gym. She wasn’t deported, but some people were.

What people don't really know about Latinos that Paola Ramos alluded to is that in a big portion of Latin American culture is this twisted sense of "humility": if the boss/superior is mean to you - even for no reason, "humble" yourself even more to this superior in the hopes that they will like you if they see you obey them. What this ultimately means is that if you're an authority figure and you mistreat this ethnic group, they'll become even more submissive to you and serve you more in the hopes you'll one day like them. It's the same reason why they never make change in their home countries, they just bend even more to bad leaders and if they can't bend any further, they run away, to America. I had a Latina friend who explained how her parents (and she was an adult) really abused her because she stood up to a workplace bully who was a supervisor.
