Listening to Biden talk off-the-cuff like this is overwhelmingly different than the way Trump does. It shows Biden as a competent, knowledgeable, thoughtful, decent person, whereas Trump shows himself always, to be self serving and doesn’t seem to understand things deeply past the orange ring of light he casts about him.

Calling what Lauren Miller & other women (who are coming to light) needed an abortion gives the impression that these are/ were unwanted pregnancies & that their law should be applied to them. What's happening in the US, and Europe is a repeat of the 1930s. I never dreamed that this would happen again after 2 world wars and hundreds of millions, possibly billions, dead. I NEVER thought I'd see this rise in fascism in my lifetime. Truly terrifying. And watching our leaders not doing much about it is even more terrifying. Trump and his MAGA cronies should've been locked up on Jan 6th 2020 after his failed coup.

On the one hand, I appreciate living in a firmly blue state, but on the other, it's kind of depressing to feel that my vote will, for all intents and purposes, not even count. Then I start to worry that if too many people get to feeling that same way, enough of them will just stay home to swing the vote to the other side. We all have to vote blue, no matter what. Even if Trump ends up winning again, there's got to be something about our holding on to the popular vote that could erode some of the Maga support. At least, I have to tell myself that just to stay sane.

And every single position and proposition on the ballot matters, too! We can't afford to stay home, or let anyone we know stay home. From school boards to judges to public transit or property tax initiatives, we need to stay informed and involved, and promote candidates who will work for the ordinary people. The better our community and our state runs, the better our country can run, when people see that government can serve us well.
