We saw very similar poll numbers in 2020 and Trump still lost. Why? Because modern polling methods are antiquated and usually don't include many younger voters.

I know we had a similar situation in the UK a few years ago, and the polling firms incorporated many new methods of analysis and demographic sampling. And when someone you don't recognize calls you on your smartphone, it's very easy to simply block that caller -- without even answering the call. Can someone please explain why abortion seems to be the #1 issue for us democrat voters? I've never considered it the #1 issue. It doesn't seem logical to me, especially for this election. First, the supreme court ruled to make the issue a matter for the states to handle. So Trump can't do anything about the matter anyways unless the supreme court reverses its decision. Second, I ran the numbers. There are over 65 million women of child bearing age in the US. There were roughly 625,000 abortions performed each year. That's less than .1% of child bearing women who abortion has affected. Much further less affected for all women and even much further less than that for the US population as a whole. Why aren't we democrats more concerned with issues that affect all of us, like inflation? I still can get over Kamala's response to a supporter who asked about inflation. Kamala said, Americans are going to have to get used to paying more. Not sure about you all, but high prices affect me and everyone I know more than abortion does. Kamala's answer to inflation is the reason I won't vote for her. How dare she presume that we can all continue to pay higher prices. It's severly affecting my livelihood as I'm sure yours too. So what's going on regarding abortion? Are we being gaslit by MSNBC that democrats care about abortion more than anything else?
