If an American married this illegal for the national who is being deported, that American has many choices. One of which is to follow his or her significant other back to their country of residence. Do people not think of what might happen down the road to themselves or their family when they act? Is doing what you choose in the moment the most important thing. How can you live always looking over your shoulder? No doubt these family members are decent people, but like many have said, the law is a law for a reason. We may feel badly for the nice people, but you can't change the law because you like them. And hard though it may be for their loved ones, how can they blame the country when they did not secure the future for themselves and their family by waiting to come in the right way?
