What’s wild is the bond between homeless folk and their dogs and pets has been shown on average to be stronger than people who have homes. For the homeless person they provide comfort, companionship, and a reason to continue. I know a lot of dog owners who yell at their dog for getting excited and jumping on them. Trust me, most homeless people’s dogs are ok

When I was homeless I knew 2 homeless guys who had dogs. Both were pretty abusive towards their dogs. People who are homeless long-term are that way for a reason, usually it's because they're very dysfunctional and dysfunctional people are usually pretty shitty.
