Thank you so much for making and editing this video. Most of the evidence of his shadiness has been deleted or is hard to find so props to your research skills. When I simply said on his page "are people talking about the time he said n*ggr and black bitch?" he deleted it and blocked me lmao. He also left a shady comment on a companys page (a cant remember which one) implying they copied his shade Dominatrix and wasn't happy about it (hes not the only company with a brown liquid lipstick). I just find it weird that he talked smack about Shayla, but hasn't said anything about the owner of Gerard Cosmetics calling a customer ugly (and there is actually evidence of this). And also hasn't dragged any other youtubers bullying. The points you made about his products were very intelligent and made me realise his product formula actually isn't great. You're right highlighter shouldn't be clunky at all it just looks like bad formula even if its pigmented it doesn't have to make your skin look bumpy

I know I'm late to the game, but I only just started watching beauty bloggers and KZbin makeup reviews. Initially, I was impressed by Jeffree Star. He puts out a good persona, but that just goes to show how easy it is to be deceptive online. After I made a comment on another review on Becca cosmetics and their sorta shady business practices, it was suggested that I watch this video when I came out in support of Jeffree Star cosmetics. I am considerably older than everyone I watch on social media. This wasn't available when I was young and I really enjoy watching reviews and having the opportunity to see how well products work before I spend my hard earned money. After watching this video and seeing with my own eyes the ugliness of Jeffree Stars character, I'll never buy anything from his company. I know that wouldn't mean shit to him, my daughter is 36 (I had her when I was 18, so you do the math lol) and I'm sure he'd just discount me as "some old lady. However, it does mean shit to me and I for one, am grateful you put this out there, despite the backlash you may get. I really like the point made about being in a marginalized group of people. Yes he's gay, and presents himself against the grain for masculine people. Does that give him a right to continually be a misogynist and racist? No. In two of the videos, the snaps and the "satire" video, he's actively using AAVE to demean and belittle black women, real and "imaginary" (I lack context for the second video, quotes for safety). He's a man, by his own description, that uses slurs directed at women on women. That's not edgy or sassy. It's misogyny. I can go in the store wearing the right set of clothes and hear any man call me a hoe. Just because he wears pink wigs and draws on his eyebrows when he does it does not make him less of a man. My daughter covered Warped Tour back when he was doing music, and she was with a magazine, was backstage with all the various bands, interviewed many bands and took pictures. I remember her coming home talking about him and how awful he was to her, he was rude and nasty to all the press and made it impossible to get decent photos and articles. Katy Perry was doing Warped Tour back then, that's how long ago it was, and she said that Katy was super nice and that she was talented and would be a huge star. I remember him from MySpace days and he always was quite rude. I remember seeing comments left by him cursing people out and saying things I couldn't even believe he would say. It's wonderful that he is unique, doesn't follow society's 'rules' and encourages individuality. Even though I'm brown but I feel very Dutch so that might shake off some initial impressions or thoughts everytime. Unfortunately, other non-Western people in my environment (ever since I was little) weren't that fortunate. I've seen people cry their eyes out because they were called the N-word or Asians having all kinds of ridiculous racial slurs thrown at them. Those people.. You could feel like they felt like outsiders. Not accepted. Seeing that pain in their eyes made me hurt so badly. Ever since then I decided to fight against racism and whatnot. Looking down upon people because of something they were born with is stupid. It's making people feel unwanted for no good reason at all. Hurting them. You can really hurt someone badly with your words and behaviour towards them and who are we to make someone feel that way. I will fight against all these kinds of behaviour and hopefully one day we can live in a world where we see another person and the only thought popping up is "Oh look another person.". Judge someone based on their actions and not something they were born with and had no say in.

I'm a music photographer in the Southern California area and have encountered and seen Jeffree countless times. The encounter that stood out most to me was almost identical to the video clip of him at Warped. I was in the backstage area at a venue in Anaheim while shooting a show, and me being literally the clumsiest person ever, I accidentally bumped into him back there. And he goes, "Excuse me, little bitch!" Which I thought was very rude, especially when it was obviously an accident. I kind of got over it when people I know who know him said "that's kind of just how he is all the time, so it wasn't meant to be personal." As someone who was witness to Jeffree in the peak of his MySpace days (I've even kept the super edgy~ song lyric username as a memento lol), I want to applaud you for bringing JS's behaviour to light. I have 3 JS lipsticks and 2 out of the 3 are patchy and flaky but I was avidly going to give another color a try (because of the hype)...then I came across the rockyroadkill incident and started doing MY OWN research. Wow...thank you for speaking on this issue. With all this James Charles drama; I've been seeing Jeffree Star being the leader of the "Cancel James" movement online after the Tati video. That got me thinking, 'Didn't I hear that he had a racist past or some other scandals?' It crazy when you look up "Jeffree Star racism"...the first thing you see is the video about racism he made himself. And if you look up "Jeffree Star scandal"; he coincidentally produced a product with the name of "scandal". His team has definitely done every thing in their power to wipe away any trace of his controversial past. I really respect you for doing this video. I don't understand how he's seemingly allowed to get away with all that he's done and still be embraced as a highly respected "leader". It's remarkable to me that he even has a career (after all of his past discretions); let alone an extremely successful one. How was he not "cancelled"?
