About my work - I remove beaver dams when I receive an order from a state organization.
I do not choose which dam to remove. It is decided by officials at the request of nearby residents. Each dam is assessed in advance if it can and if should be dismantled.
Removing the dam is not a threat to beavers. I do not remove their houses - lodges.
Dams are removed only in places where beavers cause damage, for example by flooding nearby fields, flooding the basements of nearby houses, or when the stream on which beavers built their dam is degraded.
Even though beavers are very invasive animals, they are under strict protection in our country.
I personally like all animals, so beavers are fine too.

@@linato1855 Hello Lina Yes, I like the Summer but not when it’s over 35 C My son and husband have gone to watch the Tennis Australian Open today with plenty of cold drinks, sunscreen , sun hats , food etc. My eldest daughter, her daughter and myself are going into town to watch “Emily” the movie, the life story of Emily Brontë the author of Wuthering Heights I have read the book three times over the years and watched several versions of the movie, just watched it again last week with two of my granddaughters at our home Have you read the novel or seen the movie? Beavers are a Keystone beneficial species, they raise the water table and replenish the under ground aquifers by allowing the water to slowly percolate through the ground soil and not run off into rivers and the oceans, you should probably leave the Beaver dams alone.

Wow, that dam was a piece of art! Even though I fully understand the need to remove these dams from certain locations, it wouldn't surprise me if you sometimes feel sorry for the beavers when you encounter a dam as wonderful as this one. A lot of good, hard skilled work went into this. Nevertheless, seeing how much land had been flooded and how much water was still running off of the top of the banks, also makes clear the erosion they can cause to the river banks and farmland etc.
