Really good insights, love Tad Smith’s overall appearance style and way of thinking. The choices he makes for his character looks kind of tell me he can make the right decisions, therefore his words might have some weight.

Tapiero is a crypto guy too... he's posted on X about being excited about RWAs onchain and I asked how security/custody were going to be verified vs trusted and how those costs would be paid for and he had no answer... so they are no better than YT hypers

@@Josh-xe5vi This was literally my curiosity as well. Oracle issues and the need for aml/kyc makes me confused about the use of a 'blockchain' vs a centralized server that is more efficient. Let alone about 12 other very deep computer science related issues. Whatever, I'm fine with people trying whatever they want. Will not be where I direct my funds anytime soon.

Personally, I think Tad was an interesting interviewee that offered some insightful thoughts about the future for work and purpose. Besides that, I think you are a great guy that thinks thoroughly about what you say before you say it. However, your interviewing style needs improvement. This is the first one I’ve watched of yours, and I feel that you’re still in your shell. Tad’s energy was strong, and it seemed like you couldn’t match it in real time. His answers were at time convoluted and when he was finished, it would take you some time to figure out where to head next in the convo. This would then lead to simple questions or Tad taking the wheel. I think Tad was very nice and made the conversation flow but it seemed to be a one way drive and it was evident towards the end with his questions. Anyways, cheers for creating the episode. I think that you have potential, and hope to see your podcast grow!

Tim, I wish you would do more follow up questions with some of your guests. Tad left a lot on the table and I felt like he was leaving the door open for further questions. More indepth questioning and pushback sometimes would add to the interview.

I have been investing in stocks for longer than I would like to admit. Decades. This info about stock returns being roughly equal to inflation made my brain explode. I had never heard that before. I checked it out and it is absolutely true. Essentially investing in a diversified portfolio is simply the act of saving and putting you savings into an asset that keeps up with inflation. Why didn't Buffett ever mention that? Thank you Tad Smith & Tim.

Would love to hear more in detail regarding board room hygiene / function. Would also love to hear stories (I’m sure he can’t name names) but the stories of crazy board rooms this guy has seen must be epic. Plus he talks well so would be a good listen.

After a while I noticed he's not really saying anything. Of course! Look at his resume! He's a salesman! What he seems mostly good at, selling himself. Certainly comes across well. But, content? Sorry. Near zero. Worse, he watched the whole Saylor presentation yet still doesn't get it. But, his wife likes it. They like to listen to him. Well, who doesn't? But, this guy? Not so much.

Disagree…thought that at first but especially his questions at the end back at the host…this is a sharp dude. He’s just careful with what he says…does hang on the Sotheby’s thing quite a bit….but he screams rich, educated etc…kinda annoying but good for him, I’m sure he’s worked very hard.
