July 2020 5 META COMBOS Trends Updated - Why Handtraps are MUST PLAY

Jet synchro combos now play without 001 and with 2 o lion’ to play around nibiru (you can still make savage if you get nibiru and you have at least 1 extender). Plus it requires less extra deck space so you can play stuff like zeta, but you dont get to draw. Of course, since people tend to go to this combo, nibiru will see less play, which will make people go back to more nibiru-sensible combos, which will make people play nibiru, etc.

@@juvenileygo uhm no, they didn't make any negate mid combo. Eldlich now can get hit mid combo by Nibiru and can still make savage or IP with just single jet. Watch DB grinder video to better understand the combo.

For the VFD +3, if you're tight on extra deck space you can still make a VFD +2 combo. You don't need to run Formula Synchron, Linkross and Barricadeborg Blocker for that combo, just link Halqifibrax and 001 directly into Auroradon and continue the combo from there.

The other option is to just not even bother with this shitty format. Even when you play all these hand traps, there is no guarantee you see them or see enough of them. What’s worse is that I really don’t think this crap will be fixed because Konami won’t release an actual ban list since no one is getting a chance to play with their cards.

Gilgamesh 9908 yes you can. Dark ruler days monster effects cannot respond to it. You can even respond to your own spell effect with whatever monster eff you don’t want negated assuming it’s not a when eff.

The fact that you pretty much have to main 9-12 hand traps means it's a trash format. I know the object of the game is to win but I don't see ANY fun in it when you are locked out of the game. I like the interact with my opponent, not lock them out or just set up 5+ negates.. it's just not my cup of tea..

@@anthonydevantier8851 YES. Stops any jet synchron combo, stops Halq if they summon deskbot from the deck, completely annihilates Salad if timed correctly, stops Eldlixir/Golden Land recursion, can hit Miscellaneousaurus, among other applications. The only bad matchup for it is adamancipator

@@McNetDeck you use both parallel exceeds to make Rafflesia on the fifth summon, so if they try to nibiru you, you can dump Gravedigger's Trap Hole to negate it

Yes. You need a normal summon that you can turn into a Balelynx and at least 1 Parallel eXceed in hand. You let the normal summon do its thing, link it off into Balelynx and search Sanctuary while triggering the eXceed, then you get the 2nd one and XYZ summon Rafflesia. Rafflesia lets you dump Gravedigger‘s Trap Hole which negates Nibiru and burns for 2k, Rafflesia is also immune to Impermanence so your opponent NEEDS Nibiru and either Effect Veiler or Ash.
