Annual hill climb race in Washington State. Race starts in Glacier, Washington and climb up Mt. Baker to Artist Point. Total distance is a bit over 22 miles with about 4,500 feet of elevation gain. The event was sold out this year with 450 registrations and Phil Gaimon, famous cycling KZbinr, was there to get some KOMs. Looks like about 372 people actually showed up for the event. There are 3 categories which are all timed but go off in different waves: Social at 7am, Recreational at 8am and Competitive at 8:30am. I ended up 36th overall and 4th in my age group 50-59. Some people are out there just to complete the ride and others are there to race. Either way it is a beautiful ride. Unfortunately my GoPro battery died with about 13 more minutes of climbing for me.
