Yeah as great as Mt Baldy is for snow play, the snow doesn't stick around nearly as long as the other mountain areas. we went around new years thinking we would see some, but it was completely snow free. Thankfully we managed the short hike out to San Antonio Falls and the girls got to play by the waterfall for a bit.

Nice!!! We've seen signs for this place on the road, and it caught kids' attention because of the name 😂 Camping in the snow is on our list for the next winter break - we will need to shop for some snowball makers before anything else 😀

Yeah wanted to do alot of cold weather camping with our van, but after the first year or literally freezing and some inspecting, we don't even think our van in insulated..... but those snowball makers we're the coolest snow tool we've played with in a long time. you could seriously make like 20 perfect snow balls in like 30 seconds. it's so fast.

Does it have snow in lower elevation like at the Mt. Baldy Lodge level? We went there 2 weeks ago, no snow in lower elevations.

We didn't see any snow there on Thursday. Think there was a light dusting starting around the rest area, and it's built up to what you saw in the video by the Zen Center. Hopefully we'll get another good snowfall in the coming weeks, it's probably turning into slush by now, unless you go all the way to the top.

We believe so, we always have an adventure pass for our car when we park up there. We’ve read that there are specific spots where you didn’t need them, but the general rule is if your parking up in the local mountains you’ll need an adventure pass.

@delilahsara1 We usually get ours at a Big 5, REI, or bass pro shops ahead of time. The forest service website also has a really detailed vendor map of all the prices you can buy one from. I was surprised to see how many gas stations sell them. We can’t post links usually in the comments, but if you type “adventure pass vendors Southern California” in google it’ll be that first search result.

Is there snow now??

Hi! We filmed this video on Thursday and it looked like their was enough to make it through the weekend. I just checked today’s latest insta stories and their is still snow up there but it’s starting to look like “wet”snow. It may start getting more icy soon. Think tomorrow would be the last day to go up before we would rather wait for the next snowfall. If you go, make sure to drive up to at least mount baldy zen center. All the snow before that isn’t deep enough to enjoy. Hope that helps

Where is exactly this place? We went today but couldn't find it, we went all the way up to the hiking area, but where is this area for kids?

This is right next to the Mount Baldy Zen Center. That’s also the place we put into our car’s GPS for parking. In the video we are sledding on the road in between the Zen Center and the Hardwood Lodge. Those are the buildings you see in the background. The area for kids is right next to where you park on the side of the road. It last snowed there in the 16th so the area we played may have mostly melted by now. Was their still enough snow up there to play?
