Hiking Guy - Thank you for yet another full video and website hiking guide for this underrated hike - did all 4 Hawkins summits in the snow and ice but with fantastic post storm weather on 11/10/22 - had a great time ( except for iced over Hawkins Summit). Don't know of any other web page with so much info on great hikes!👍👍👍

Thank you and glad you got to enjoy this fun loop 👍👍👍. Hoping to spend more time there next spring after the snow melts.

would recommend whenever you approach any trail sign to stop and show it in its entirety.....makes it that much more safer for the rest of us

For all the videos I have a guide on the website HikingGuy.com where you can see still images of the signs. I also have a 360 video where you can pause, pan, and probably get a good look at any sign.

Thanks for the video! I only got up to Windy Gap, started late, didn't know the drive up to Crystal Drive is so slow. This drive make Ice House Canyon/Mt Baldy seems like a breeze. I also meet a fellow newbie hiker on the trail and told him about your channel and website!

Thanks for spreading the word, I appreciate it! And yea, the drive up here is worse than Icehouse but you also don't have the Icehouse crowds. I also have a guide for Mt Islip on the site which hits the peak on the other side of Windy Gap if you come back again and don't have so much time.

@@Hikingguy Awesome, I will check it out. Thanks. Do you know about a Boy Scout Trail at Vincent Gap, across from the Mt Balden Powell trail? It's a really easy hike to Jackson Lake on the Big Pine Hwy.

One of my favorite summer hikes! Perhaps in the future you might consider adding Sadie Hawkins and make it a 4 pack!! Thanks for posting!!!
@Hikingguy4 жыл бұрын
Ha yea, I should have just did Sadie and Throop but didn't want it to be too much for folks. Will get a bigger peak bagging session in the future, maybe Islip, Throop, and then the Hawkins.

HikingGuy.com I did Islip, Hawkins, Throop, Burnham, and Baden-Powell as a 5 peak hike about a year ago...one of my favorite hikes to date!

@@LARogers how many hours did that take?
@LARogers3 жыл бұрын
@@abrahamt2854 took 7 hrs...we left one car at Baden-Powell trailhead and drove to the Islip trailhead to start so we could do it as a one-way hike of about 14 miles

Is this footage older? I think Angeles Nat Forest is still closed, or it closed again.

It's open. Footage from last week. You're free to hike!
