Worst terrain park in the United States. It’s 2023 get with it already. It’s dangerously small. So small that you’ll hurt yourself before you’ll have any fun. Update Had to share my experience today. This miracle of a terrain park that is so well maintained and looked after so everyone can have an exceptional and safe experience. You know this is priority number one when you can wait your turn and when you drop to attempt a frontside 360 off the first jump and as lower your stance and start to twist and in mid air you discover your not the only one trying to fly off this dangerously small table top. Four other small children on skis have tried to jump with you and as your board starts to twist mid air you almost scalp two of the four. My board wasn’t long enough to get them all. And when you land out of no where another little on skis decides it’s a good idea to shoot sideways thru the park right in your landing. You can really feel how much the people who run this place value your safety and the safety of others. I guess no speed maze is required at this park. It’s a full free for all. No one shouts dropping here. There’s no one maintaining the park to stop 10 or more just kamakazing thru the park. The respect is out the window. It’s who ever gets there first here at Mt. Rose. I’ve been a pass holder for a few years now as well as my son. I was hoping this place would be a great place for my son and I to train. Unfortunately not a chance. Even on the slowest days the park is a disaster. When you over shoot every jump out of the four that are there it makes it a little hard for any progression. Not to mention the toll on your knees. My 17 year old son walks like a 90 year old cript keeper after each attempt at riding the park. Looks like Northstar will get our family’s money from now on.
