I used to go to burn camp there every August. Would always fly me and another burn survivor in a Cessna. If you can afford the glider I say do it! View is killer. But the people were always nice and all gave us free access to vikingshlom, Squaw valley, the Ebrite Family would give us access to ebrites beach. And of course my most favorite place and one I still call my second home (haven’t been there in years) Camp Concord! My home away from home. lol

I think the prettiest beaches are on the east shore and you probabaly will have to drive to them...the closest to that area is incline village...but in general you will more then likely have to drive a short distance to most beaches and trails

I dont know much about scuba diving but i believe you can white water raft on the truckee river: gowhitewater.com/. also the Yuba river and American river near Colfax offer white water rafting

We’re staying at Harvey’s in August. Do you think State Line Park is a nearby short, easier hike to take? I really want to hike to a waterfall. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of people who will be able to answer my questions. Your video is beautifully done. I currently live in Tennessee and previously lived in Florida. In the past few years I have fallen in love with the western US. We were in Grand Teton last month because Yellowstone flooded. I am not complaining! Our Country is absolutely gorgeous! I’m also very curious about the wildlife at Lake Tahoe. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

Hi Gabriella! Great video! So I have been to LT in July-Aug and think it’s def one of the most beautiful places on earth. Coming from Ohio I’m wondering about the winters. I know there is quite a bit more sun than Ohio so I’m guessing the winters are not the soul crushing kind even though there’s lots of snow and it gets cold at night. Are you able to thrive in the winters out there or has it been challenging for you to stay engaged and not feel too isolated?

Winters are actually beautiful here as in the snow created a winter wonderland feel, definitely not soul crushing, although it can be inconvenient in terms of the shoveling and depends of how well they plow your road as well. It does get cold at night, but during the day its pretty mild like 40s-50s, Tahoe can be isolating, and frankly i've met most of my friends here on instagram which was new for me.

Winter is very unpredictable in terms of snow..but I will say they are good about plowing the roads during and right after a snow storm...i would just keep an eye out for the week you are coming...last year wasn't too bad, with the exception of a couple of blizzards

You can always take the South Lake Tahoe Airporter ....it’s a shuttle that goes from Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe ...and rent a car in s. Lake Tahoe ....idk if that would be cheaper 🤷‍♀️

This is not the way Lee Tahoe is they taught? I was laid out with a beautiful lake. However, it has a lot of beautiful hotels and if you're interested in shopping, the the shopping is awesome in the hotels and also outside around the South side and the North side of Tahoe is no gambling. But you can get there a lot of people. Go for gambling and direct creational. But you're ignoring the hotels which is the biggest and most exciting part of it. I've going there. That's the truth. There's a party going on at Harris every day. I love Harris, Tahoe. I went there at least 500 times in my life. There used to be a hotel call. Ed Harvey's on the other side, but it was destroyed. We won't talk about that in that arena. In that area there's a beautiful beach. Don't make a big deal out of it. There's zepper's cove and go there and go jet skiing now. Not a big deal, stay away from the drug dealers they're everywhere, but. Just ignore it. You can rent a condo for 1 week. For about $700, don't be fooled, it is fun. I love the gambling and walking through the casinos. It's a blast in the summertime. Get yourself a Margarita and get f***** u* It's a lot of fun enjoy Tahoe. It's not all about water. What whatever? Whatever it's not all about water
