5:08 Pyramid Peak?
@BurleyOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Wow good catch! I watched that clip over and over during the edit and never caught that. I was pretty tired when I got to the top. I should have said Mt Tallac right there. Pyramid Peak is another peak in the area. At 5:01 it's the tallest peak on the left of the shot.

One of the reasons I like your videos so much is because you let the scenery be the star attraction. This was beautiful. I look forward to more!

Thanks for watching. Its cool to have international followers! I have been running quite a bit more and feel in better shape than this time last year but this is still a pretty good workout of a hike.

Awesome hike! Is desolation wilderness still not requiring wilderness permits?
@BurleyOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
So at the time of filming this (2-28-21) there was a sign posted at the trailhead information bulletin board that said something like " Due to covid we are not currently requiring permits for entry into the Desolation Wilderness".

Did you start this climb from the tallac trail head? Was parking an issue?
@BurleyOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
The official trailhead is down a forest service road about a mile from 89. The gate about 100 feet onto the forest road was closed. There is a small parking space before the gate that could probably fit 10-15 cars and that is where I parked. There are some other pullouts on 89 where you could also park if the area is full.

It’s a very human thing to want to watch someone eat something. You always cut out the meal. Give us the foods man!
