Opps wrong announcement 26:46 This station was Huguenot, not Eltingville Nice video. Thanks for posting it. I used to live in Eltingville from 1959 to 1973. I grew up riding the old two car straw wicker seats trains that were built around 1925. It's hard to believe those R44 cars were in service for 51 years.

The automated announcements stopped working properly after leaving Great Kills and resumed when leaving Prince's Bay. There might be a GPS problem in that stretch.

It can be full during rush hours which is basically what it was designed for.

Takes 43 minutes to go the entire way, and that's on the express. It would take a Hour and a half on local. Staten Island Railway is a long line fr.

Actually the express only shaves about 7 or 8 minutes off compared to the local. The line is 14 miles long, about the length of Manhattan island.

@@williamerazo3921 No need for that. Staten Island isn’t as densely populated and nobody wants or needs another 500,000 people running around the island. The SIR is just fine as it is.
