Heading up tomorrow - thanks for sharing - it's good to see how the two compare - and will be good with a lunch stop in between back at the car park

I'm very jealous. Hope the conditions are good and let me know what you think. Last time I was there, part of Twrch was closed. The Hideout section of Cafall was my favourite.

Great day - Cafall in the morning with Twrch after lunch - end section of Twrch cut onto the fire road but still worth the climb. Hideout was great - especially in the fog today. Cafall was definitely the favourite of the two!

Ride the cafall every Saturday morning, and wanted to see how it looks on camera. The Twrch doesn't give a good enough downhill to justify the climbing IMO, but the cafall is spot on. Rocky Valley is definitely my favourite section

You're lucky to have access to the both Dave. But particularly Cafall!

Between Twrch and Cafall I prefer Cafall. Although that is partly influenced by Twrch having castle valley closed for what seems like months now, resulting in it being significantly shorter. Guess I'm lucky I can stop off here once or twice a week on the way home from work 😀. One thing is for sure you earn the descents on both trails.

Completely agree Paul. I was lucky on my first visit to Cwmcarn that Twrch was fully open. A second visit a month after and the detours were in place. Envious that you can rude there mid week...I really enjoyed Cafall.

Definitely an incredible trail and It was like everything just clicked on the day so it felt like some of the quickest riding I've done. Shame it's a bit over a two hour drive away.

That run from about 5:30 on was fantastic, man! About how long does the drive take from your house?

have you ever thought to do some riding in the UK at some time?

Be great to see you over here Brian. Cwmcarn is about a 60 minute drive for me. One of my favourite places in the UK.

It takes me about a ten to fifteen minute drive from where I live in Newport

did both recently, agree cafall is better ,the first few miles of twrch are horrrible way too rocky for me but its downhill is good and the black run bit is fun
