I have been running a tubeless setup on normal non-tubeless wheels on one of my bikes. But I am kind of fed up with the hassles it causes. So I have decided to try Tannus ARMOUR for a more hassle-free and puncture-free tyre setup.

Nice video! Our insert needs a little time out of the packing to expand and take shape. Glad you were able to use the heat trick to help speed up the process. You'll love the ride! Cheers!

Wow, you guys pleasantly surprised me a lot. I actually wanted ARMOUR tubeless for 26" rims, but they seem to be available only for 27.5 and 29er. I am looking forward to try and abuse my ARMOUR on my favourite moutain roads :) Thanks a lot for dropping a comment, indeed!

Nice channel and an excellent review! I installed Tannus inserts on my fat-tired bike (4.3" x 26" tires). I had the same reaction you did trying to install them; if they weren't so expensive I might have given up. Since a fat-tired bike doesn't need the same level of high performance that your bike needs, I was not disappointed by the difference in handling characteristics. In fact, I hardly noticed a difference. However...I am terrified by the thought of having to repair a flat out on the trail with these inserts!! To beleive that you will NEVER get a flat with these installed seems rather foolish---if your luck is anything like mine. Almost two years later and I still haven't had a flat from thorns, sharp rocks or assorted trash. Time will tell. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi, a fat tyre is heavy already, so Tannus ARMOUR is probably not a big burden. Are you terrified by a possible flat tyre fix on a trail side? Well, I couldn't agree more :) I think that if I had a flat tyre, then I would leave it as it is and ride slowly back home or take off the insert, fix the puncture and ride on without the insert. Putting a tyre on the rim with the insert inside is absolutely the last thing I want to do. Not a single flat in two years? Then you seem to really benefit from Tannus ARMOUR. I wish the same to myself. Thanks for watching!
