I would really like to see his bike set up in more detail. I'm a powersport technian, and have set up a few motorcycles for people that were missing limbs. It's pretty awesome to watch someone do something they love that they never thought they would do again because of a massive injury.

I never really understood people who won't pay a couple of bucks for a purpose built location. It doesn't seem to matter if its biking, drag racing, paintball, or autocross, I hear so many people complain about something that normally costs less than a movie, and their rig of choice for that activity cost many thousands of dollars. Even if your bike cost $500, you shouldn't have a problem coming up with 10 bucks or so to use something made to give you the best possible time riding it. Cheers for the perspective Alexander!

Thanks for coming to Texas. The mountain biking community is growing and we appreciate your noticing us. I just started mountain biking a little over a year ago myself and turn 70 in a few months so getting a late start. I wish I had started sooner but it is never to late I guess.

Great video! Thanks for highlighting Texas. I am 53, living in Texas 11 years, and only discovered mountain biking over the summer. After buying a Trek Marlin I was hooked, and found great trails practically in my own back yard in a suburb of Houston, and have been riding 4 to 5 days a week even as the daylight hours diminished this fall. You are so right about the community and passion, but not just in Austin. Houston is the flattest place I've ever lived, but the trail builders in my area are doing a fantastic job, as you say, making the most of what little elevation we do have.

I picked up Mountain Biking as a hobby when I lived in Texas. The MTB community there is strong and always growing. I would travel a lot for work, and anytime I went anywhere I made sure to throw my bike in the back of my truck because there are great trails EVERYWHERE! Great video btw sts! I like that you incorporated a lot more narration and B-Roll. Much easier to watch in this format.

Thanks for featuring our "little" area of mountain biking. I moved here from California 7 years ago and I have to say I was a little worried about no mountains (Tahoe was my playground). Mountain biking here is a good as ever though and has even taught me some new and different skills. Yes you can teach an old mountain biker new tricks. :)

Dude, Alex, thank you so much. I am moving to DFW soon and Austin is reasonably close. I'm going to Spider Mountain like the week I get there but this video helps so much on finding other stuff in the area. I'm originally from Arkansas, then went to college in Alabama so to me moving to Texas was resigning my MTB experience to park days in Angelfire, NM. I'm so glad that this is not the case. Thank you so much for bringing these communities to light and showing the world what they have to offer. I would love to see a video like this from every scene you see because it helps me find where to ride when going on vacation, business trips, or to see family and friends. Love your work man, live free, ride hard, and stay stoked my dude.

Finally! Voice over narration is superior to alive chest mounted camera video. I'm hoping others take notice of Seth's style and YT domination. Third person shots and story telling are key. Great work, hands down your best video. Just me, if you continue with this new variety of styles, like the clip riding video with simple bike sound,s you will continue grow at much faster rate than others simply riding without a "STORY"!

7:55 - thankyou Alex for mentioning the importance of BEGINNER FRIENDLY trails. Not everyone has the sporting ability or desire to tackle black trails with massive jumps and drops. Some of us just aren't that good! And we have kids who like to ride flow trails and some moderate blues without killing ourselves. Think about every sport you've ever played - there have been A grade down to D grade and onwards to cater for different skill and fitness levels. Mountain biking should be no different :-) And in my experience, it's the players from the lower skill levels that are the heart and soul of many sporting clubs.

Alex, I disagree with the others. I guess u'll delete this comment, but hope you read it first... There's no doubt you've put a lot of time into this one and its very professional. Actually quite a different approach. HOWEVER- i'm seriously missing you talking to the camera. Seth has openly admitted he prefers voice over commentary. BUT- you speaking to the camera on and off trail was/ is part of your channel identity and you are damn good at it. Its a quality/ charisma/ character that makes you unique and your channel unique. Its actually quite uplifting after a hard day to feel your joy and love of mountain biking through watching and listening to you- and I didn't quite get that with this one. To be honest, what ever you do will be great, but I bet Seth will get what i'm saying!!!!
