Hey Alan, thanks for the history lesson on Party Wave and Westridge. It was our first time to Snow Summit this weekend and these were our group’s favorite trails. Nice to see how they’ve changed over the years. I’m sure we’ll get to see the changes to come as well, we will definitely be going back.

2014: 650b, A-frame before muscle beach, muscle beach, shark fin, on off, west ridge wall ride (1st one), two tables before the clearing 2015: new trail entry, trail gets rerouted into the rock garden, table after the rock garden, on off becomes a step down, second walk ride is added, three tables become two Side note: First Pro Line is built 2016: the hip is built, pavers after wooden bridge and tables rebuilt, three tables added, two tables after are rebuilt I know I missed some stuff but I tried to get most of the stuff prior to what you covered in the video 👍🏻

I think westridge has improved a lot and is probably the best flow trail in the park and with additions to miracle mile and the new tech trail 10 ply, giving the options of more variety, I'd say it's a great step-up from the 2013 "cruiser" with just a handful of jumps

Wow I totally forgot about some of those older sections. I kinda miss the old gully. I remember that berm in there, it would wash on me sometimes but humps were fun on the way out. The new section is fun but a super self esteem checker (I’m nowhere near able to clear). Has anyone ever bonked their head in the bolder turn? I duck evety time but I’m sure I feet from hitting it. The jumps way back seem to have bigger lips that would kind of buck ya, circa 2014 (I’m not a good jumper). Since then the jumps got way smoother. This is one of my favorite trails of all time! Mad props to Summit! Alan thanks for the lil trip down memory lane. Couple more days until I get to roll it myself!!!!
@mtb_alan4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was missing that bit across the gully, but looking more closely at the footy, it may have seriously eaten up momentum I think maybe there have been some land slides or something since then....I'm never going slow enough to look. Ha! I haven't heard of head-bonking that boulder, but I have heard of people clipping a handlebar and ending up off the edge and into the trees. Yikes! So yeah...I'd keep dodging it if I were you. Dood...I hope you're up there on a weekend and we run into each other. 👊🏽

Resorts make their money by helping riders feel like pros without getting hurt. People act like they want gnar but most deep down want a nearly paved surface with mellow lips and easy sends. Everything is becoming A-line.
