What information do you have for the trans like model number and manufacturer?? Plus parts numbers ??? What type of oil does it require ?? And how much if it’s dry Do you put it in the breather plug hole ???

All good questions typically a 2050 hydraulic oil is what I use in these Transmissions. There are different variations but most all of them are the same the part number is directed toward this specific transmission that you have not exactly the model and serial number of the machine but the model number of the transmission itself. I believe the Transmissions are hydrogear brand. They are also used by other manufacturers other than MTD. You feel the transmission through the plug in the very top back section of the transmission. As far as the amount you just fill it up to the base of the hole that the plug fits into. This video was done a long time ago and I did not have as good of a camera set up as I have now.

I hate to say it but it will work for a while but it will fail again potentially sooner than the seal that was there before. It's aggravating but the best thing to do is to pull it back out and put a new one in in the correct direction. The transaxle does not do very good running low on fluid and the second go around could possibly destroy it the one in this video Simply lost all the fluid sitting still
