MTD mower gear select noise...solved..!!

Our ever reliable MTD ride on mower began making a horrible grinding/screeching noise when put into gear and I feared the worst. It sounded pretty serious and mechanical and I was worried it may be the differential. In the end it was an easy fix, thankfully.
